Must be Russia then.
I assume you've been sarcastic this entire time :ohdear:
I assume you've been sarcastic this entire time :ohdear:
Yes.
Yes.
:fsmug:
:fsmug:
I honestly can't understand why someone would not care about this.
Conservatives have arrived
What a splendid argumentation! Perhaps you should have said "Civic-minded people have arrived."
I honestly can't understand why someone would not care about this.
no one said they didn't care Zeke summed it up nicely
What a splendid argumentation! Perhaps you should have said "Civic-minded people have arrived."
I like you
I care about living soldiers and the families of dead soldiers. I don't care what happens with a bunch of corpses. You honour them in death by honouring their name, not by honouring a box of rotting flesh. Humanity's attachment to dead things is asinine, it's 2010 for fuck's sake
This is my view exactly.
What a splendid argumentation! Perhaps you should have said "Civic-minded people have arrived."
Conservatives do everything they can to keep the lower class of the country poor yet when some dead people are put in the wrong spot they're all over it.
Conservatives do everything they can to keep the lower class of the country poor yet when some dead people are put in the wrong spot they're all over it.
Those "dead people" gave their lives to protect others. They deserve a proper burial.
Those "dead people" gave their lives to protect others. They deserve a proper burial.
Did I say they don't? Of course they should reform their policies/training practices to make sure screwups don't keep happening. But all these sandy vaginas over what has already happened are pointless.
Those "dead people" gave their lives to protect others. They deserve a proper burial.
It's not only dead soldiers, it's also their families. But that's besides the point. Personally I already have two dead family members in graves at the Arlington National Cemetery so I find this horrible.
Conservatives do everything they can to keep the lower class of the country poor yet when some dead people are put in the wrong spot they're all over it.
We don't have to do anything, the lower class handles that all on their own. And besides, how could you possibly understand the grief of these families, having lost their sons and then to add insult to injury, their memories are disrespected in the worst possible way by some wife-beater wearing, fatass motherfucker?
We don't have to do anything, the lower class handles that all on their own.
Unwarranted outrage Saying poor people are poor because they're lazy Are you just reading from the conservatives' handbook or something
And besides, how could you possibly understand the grief of these families, having lost their sons and then to add insult to injury, their memories are disrespected in the worst possible way by some wife-beater wearing, fatass motherfucker?
Come again? That wasn't in the article. And don't talk to me about not understanding. My cousin was pretty badly injured in Afghanistan and the news of "he's not dead" came about 7 hours after the news of "he's been badly injured", so I had no idea what had happened to him for that time.
I get why people are upset, but the worst-case scenario here: people were putting bouquets of flowers above the wrong corpse. There are more important issues the government can be focusing on right now.
I see what you're getting at, but I reckon this IS still an important issue. In shit times like these, the American people will want something to feel good about - and they'll feel a whole lot better if their government pays the respect of properly honoring their fallen heroes. The principle of the issue is that of the movie "Invictus" (dunno' if you've seen it). It's both not important and very important.
Uhh, and what? They are dead bodies. Respectful funeral is one thing, but, who cares about who lies where. They are piles of dead matter. Empty shells of what the men once were. I would care more about keeping their story told, history remembered, than their useless bodies mistreated. I will let them to cremate me and to let the ash to spread somewhere. Most efficient and also ecologic way.

Most efficient and also ecologic way.
it's a lot different for you because you know none of these soldiers, if you were a close relative of one of the now dead veterans then you might have a different idea of the situation. it's really disrespectful to the soliders and their family to have their graves mismanaged and left uncared for. bodies, yes, they're not as important to me as the actual family name. these soldiers went through hell, and the least we can do to repay them right now is to honor their name. it's sad that whoever is in charge of that cemetery can't even do that right. sad.
Are you just reading from the conservatives' handbook or something
Actually it doesn't mention "poor people" at all. And yes, there is such a book. And I have read it. Though I don't abide by 90% of what it says.
