And girls get £675.03 towards their first car, while boys only get £538.93.

The fuck?
I paid for it all myself.
I even fix it myself
Damn kids and teenagers these days are spoiled, or my parents are cruel. (probably a mix of both)
This is so sexist. Girls and Boys are equally expensive. No children are expensive. But if you think children are expensive, then how are you going to carry your family name? Discontinue it?
Are you stupid? Kids are crazy expensive.

Lots of parents pass their old piece of shit car down to their kids.
Of course though, single children like myself get spoilt like hell.

My parents even refused that.
I had to buy a clunker myself and fix it up.

Eh, if it still runs OK it is good enough to learn to drive in.
there sure are some whiney men here
She shouldn't be splitting elements near fragile equipment anyway.
water isn't an element, it's a compound of the elements hydrogen and oxygen
I got a 1987 Toyota MR2 for my first car.
Then I bought a Lexus. :smug:
This would be true for my case. Not counting Electricity, Cable, Food, or Internet, well, I hardly need anything. The occasional videogame, but that's pretty much it. My sister on the other hand, asks for money every week.
Now we know why muslims only wants boys.

x1 Agree
My parents bought my sister a horse, and all i got was a Venus Flytrap.
Now we know why muslims only wants boys.
Muslims prefer boys because with a girl, the family of the bride is expected to pay a hefty dowry to the husband's family to take on the "burden" of the new wife. So yeah, it's actually worse for them.

Can't fight statistics bro.
[editline]04:57PM[/editline]
this is cultural anyway.
In other news, the sky was recently reported to be, infact, blue.
The sky doesn't have a color. You see blue because the sun rays reflect off the water in the atmosphere and it makes a blue tint, but the sky is still transparent. That is why at night when there is no sun the sky isn't blue.
I'm probably comparatively cheap compared to these statistics, considering how little I spend on stuff like makeup (Barely anything, it's too expensive anyway) and how much my siblings spend on hobbies. I also have a small amount of clothes than average just because I'm not exactly picky in what I wear.
Incoming abortions.

Good effort going on Google in an attempt to make yourself look smart.

That is actually common knowledge, I learned it in grade three, it isn't really making himself look smart.
Good effort saying that someone Googled something in an attempt to make themselves look smart in an attempt to make yourself look smart.

I'm crossing my fingers that my father doesn't trade in his Audi A4 Quattro if/when he gets a new car.
I can't exactly give an accurate opinion on this study, being in a home with 2 brothers, a father and a mother... Though I have a feeling that it's the mother that is the issue in this ordeal. Mothers are stereotypically nice and are very social. So are teen age girls. This combination should result in a stronger relationship, thus more money spent. Usually fathers in my experience are a little more strict and in my experiences, work hard for money and are sad to see it go away on "unnecessary" things (Car/Internet/Gadgets/ect). Because boys are usually quieter and avoid their stressed, overworked parents, they tend to have a weaker relationship.
Again, it's only from observation but I bet you see a majority more girls at school with the newest iPod, cell phone and clothing compared to boys who are usually acquiring their goods by themselves.
I'm more of a hybrid, my mother trusts me to the point where I have her mastercard attached to my personal paypal account (Rather than dig her credit card out every time I wanted to buy a game off Steam or buy some electronic component for a project off of ebay, giving her cash after buying). I sometimes help her out on the computer and burning her TV shows, then she buys a $10 top up card for my phone. I'm paying most of the time, though that's way more than most teenagers in my social group are doing.
Better relationship with parents usually corresponds to some form of reward.
Well, screw buying a daughter, then.
My spoiled littlesister (16-years old now, other littlesisters are 19 and 10 and are NOT spoiled like her) has like her 18th phone my parents bought her, while I'm on my 0th phone my parents bought me.
And of course she has a laptop, and now she wants ANOTHER laptop for whatever reason.
My parents paid her trip to Spain.
She also got a scooter for her 500m school trips while I always walked 3km to school and nowadays 6km to work.
She's also getting a car for AT LEAST 5000 euros, while my 1988 Nissan Sunny that my grandpa gave broke down years ago.
She's also the worst bitch I know. Se whines about EVERYTHING, nothing is never good. She has called my mom a whore multiple times. I could never EVER call my mom something like that. Even calling her stupid makes me feel like an asshole.
Only thing I use nowadays that my parents gave me, is this computer. My old one broke to bits and I couldn't afford a new one, so they bought me one.
Please don't tell me she asked for a big 16th bday. I already think she is a spoiled bitch. Your other sisters think she is spoiled?
Me, I sometimes use the same pants for 2 days, and I think if I work, I will need 7-14 clothes(both t-shirts and pants). If someone asks if I'm poor, I would say, I am saving my money. Hell, just give me a damn game console(PS3/360/PC), and some games, and boom, happy, unless the game sucks.
Nobody can put a price on boobs!
2 grand in pocket change from 5-18? i have atleast 4 grand so far i guess, depends on what you concider pocket change. and around $600 for a car is insane kinda, my parents are willing to spend around 3 grand on a good car for me beacuse we are car fanatics, we drag race.
Nobody can put a price on boobs!
Unless your at a strip club
Bitches always asking for shit and not returning the favor.
Well, it ain't fucking us spending two hours inside a bathroom with 120 dollars worth of makeup

Tell your parents that I think they are doucherockets
Daughters are the fucking plague.
I've decided not to even have kids. The chance of it being female is too great.
True for me too. Give me Internet, a couple of video games and i'm a happy man.

Not sure if it's related or not to the thread, but in China, families mostly want boys over girls because boys can go to work and support the family.
Probably only applies to rural areas now though.
