i wouldn't say dont have kids, since it's a whole level of maturing and becoming a more full-minded person there.

I come from a family of 6 kids, with 3 sisters. My brothers are pretty chill, tend to just fuck around, do their own thing, keep busy. We don't go out as much, don't ask for money, and help each other out whenever we can. (Just for some context here, I am second oldest at 22 years)
The girls.... well, they're fucked up. They are NEVER happy. They always want some new shit. Worst part is, the 2 younger ones always seem to have money, and even my parents aren't sure where it comes from. Some of it they steal from us, the rest is a mystery, but probably involves whoring themselves out to guys they meet online. All 3 sisters are always fucking fighting and stealing each other's shit, talking shit to each other's friends... they don't care about anyone, even the others in the house. My brother didn't get to eat the other day because one of my sisters fucking ate everything in the 2 minutes it took for him to find a save spot in a game. He literally hit her with a fucking chair.
Anyway... these girls get all kinds of shit given to them by not only my parents, but the men they take advantage of. I feel sorry for every guy they date... my sisters are so controlling and manipulative... one of them even straight up beats guys, who COULD kick her ass but don't because they're afraid to hit women.

Me and my sister both have it the same way, mostly. She drives some 11 year old Fiat that keeps breaking down Wacky Racers style and I travel by bus.
I can only think back to my cousin, who has like tons of shit and complains about the smallest things on facebook.

Unless those stats included food costs, my parent's never spent anywhere near $26,000 on me. My parents never bought me a phone, car or computer. I had to pay for all that shit myself(minus the computer, which was given to me by the Government). Hell, even all the clothes my parents bought me were either hand-me-down or from Walmart.
Then again, we're poor. By American standards, anyway.
Guys, loosen your panties a little. Ever think it isn't the girls' faults? They wouldn't have money if it wasn't for the parents giving it to them. My parents hardly give me anything, even though they can afford to (my dad has a 120k/yr. job). My dad expects me to save up for college at a minimum wage job, where some of my friends have some sort of "allowance" from their parents for college. Believe me, being a girl doesn't help me much. :/

Both my sister work for their money (Not even for my parents; my older sister found a job early and my little sister's a little artist so she gets money from her talents. She recently bought herself a Wacom Bamboo with what she earned.)
And then there's me which essentially doesn't cost a penny beyond food and electricity, save for when one of my computer part is outdated/broken.
