I only have one lingering question: does the cradle provide additional grunt for the system? Additional processing power obtained by plugging it in was one of the big things speculated about.
-im blind-
Im not sure if it will sell as well as the PS4 or Xbox One, but surely itll sell better and enjoy more players than the Wii U
I might buy this alongside a PS4 in the future if I can afford it
the name would help since people thought the wii u was an addon for the wii and made marketing that thing really hard
this will hopefully give it some distance

the handheld footage looked like it ran significantly worse than the big screen, so probably

I'd imagine it probably just allows it to run the GPU and processor at full speed, as opposed to having an additional GPU / Processor inside the dock.

Probably not. It's not mentioned in the video or on Nvidias website.
I wonder how Switch Animal Crossing is gonna be like?
This looks like it would have lots of problems.
THQ is back?
I feel like i've missed something important...
THQ never left, they were bought by the publisher Deep Silver.
Also this looks great, I'm pleasantly surprised actually.
Holy shit new Mario, the new Zelda, Spla2oon (or an upgrade?) and MK9 Double Dash 2 Electric Boogaloo
You did it Nintendo, you got me back in harder than you could have possibly
The logo and presentation kind of reminds me of a kickstarter product v:v:v
Sad they didnt keep the NX name
It was cool...

Oh wow this is great, the Tegra chips are ridiculously powerful for what they are.
I wonder if they ever considered/will consider Gamestream support
It kinda worries me that Nintendo are advertising their new console with Skyrim, a game that's nearly 5 years old at this point. It was the same thing with the WiiU, advertising their new console with a lineup of games from the previous gen, except Skyrim will be 2 generations behind the Switch. It doesn't exactly convince me they'll have strong 3rd party support.
Guys?

King Boo wasn't in MK8.
I was thinking the exact same thing. Mario kart double dash remake incoming?
Sad they didnt keep the NX name

Projects rarely keep their prototype names.
oh shit maybe they actually care about core players now.
If I get a portable Souls game I might begin hyperventilating

You're not wrong, but I imagine that's the current-gen remaster of Skyrim.
So this possibly might be where Pokemon moves to from the 3ds platform. Aside from that can anyone say SKYRIM ON A GAME CARTRIDGE lmao.
Perhaps change the title of the thread, not a whole lot of people seem to be disappointed now.
Nah, the disappointment will set in eventually.

I think it's more of a "hey we have more third parties on board now, look at this game everybody knows" than showing off the game itself.
Sad they didnt keep the NX name

It was, but Switch is a much, much better name for marketing this thing.
I still weep for the loss of Revolution. Wii is still a stupid name.
then why didn't they show fallout 4?
I imagine because Skyrim Remastered is newer.
Nah, the disappointment will set in eventually.
On one hand I feel weird that I stayed up for this since it's not some big huge new console in the most unique sense. It's essentially concepts of the Wii U but with less bullshit and amped up in its own way and advertising.
On the other hand, it's a new Nintendo console with massive third-party support out of the gate apparently, and i'm a sucker for Nintendo.
Nah, the disappointment will set in eventually.
Unless that Mario ends up being a tech demo, nope.
Alright I want the new console based on that trailer - but I want more details
I'm pretty interested now from what they've shown
if they keep the promise in this video on launch day
Now I wonder how much it's going to cost.
Woah, a console that I might actually put next to my PC. Nintendo staying true to what makes consoles fun and worth buying, just need to see that battery life and pricetag to really seal the deal.
That was pretty great tbh. Now all I want is a trailer/direct showing off a launch lineup of games.
