• EA sets goal: Fewer games, But better ones

do those 40 games include all their money grabbing expansions and DLCs?
Hopefully they'll make games on par in terms of quality with Dead Space. Fuck I loved that game.
Great, even more expensive games from EA.
I'd rather pay 60$ for a good game rather than 50$ for a shit game. Besides if the 60$ game is shit, I have the option of not buying it. Oh yeah no demos anymore what do I do to see is a game good or not... wait there was this one thing... it was at first made out of many pieces of paper and it had words and numbers written on it, and quite often images...
ep1 = nothing happened ep2 = stop combine backup. wow genuine extension to the story!! ball cradler
Think you might want to go and actually play them first, because it would appear you haven't. If you have, then you would remember the introduction of the Borealis and Aperture Science into the scene. Now, go ahead and tell me that isn't an extension of the storyline.
*Sigh* despite the fact that EA is getting better we know that in physics, nothing can be created or destroy, merely changed or moved. The Evil that once resided in the Heart of EA is leavings it's host and seeping into the depths of the Activision Corporation! Gentlemen, gamings darkest hour is yet to come...
ep1 = nothing happened ep2 = stop combine backup. wow genuine extension to the story!! ball cradler
So, by your logic, every sequel to an original game is a map pack. Okay. On topic however, it's good to see EA getting back on track. Let's hope they quit it with the crappy everything-is-brown-desaturated-apocalyptic-and-gory stuff. It's about time they cleaned up their act.
I still won't forgive them for butchering the Command and Conquer series. :colbert:
it appears that EA is letting Activision take over the "fuck the customer" throne
ep1 = nothing happened ep2 = stop combine backup. wow genuine extension to the story!! ball cradler
eli dies
spoilers phanny!!
:10bux: they still milk out ea sports games like nfl and fifa etc every year.
well people always want to see their teams new socks in a video game
eli dies
its just a fleshwound
How about... So, what happened? Found a company they can't afford to buy out, so they have to actually compete? Fuck you EA. I don't care what game you cook up, I'll never buy anything (for PC) with your shitty, shit stain of a logo on it.
Valve should put EA's logo in the startup of episode 3 just to fuck with you.
Well, I wouldn't care really, I just wouldn't buy it then. Since I'm not that interested in it. Besides I still play and love C&C games, just none of the new ones. Westwood was fucking amazing, and the reason I first started hating EA was because they cancelled Westwood.
Good, stop shitting out games, and gives us gold for once
not gonna work.
Well I'll be dammed.
Dungeon Keeper was the best game EA published.
Fewer games, but better $250 a copy
About time.
Instead of making better games, how about letting the original studios make the games? I spend 40 gulden (now ~20 euros) on Tiberian Sun when it came out and had a lot more fun then the 40 euro Tibirian Wars...
just means fewer games because they got no dolla.
Fucking finally. Maybe we'll stop seeing "Generic Shooter #50867" and we'll start seeing some actual quality games.
Fucking finally. Maybe we'll stop seeing "Generic Shooter #50867" and we'll start seeing some actual quality games.
EA Don't make generic shooters, you're thinking of Activision.
Yeah, I was stunned by the quality of the two 20$ map-packs for HL2, and the 50$ DLC for L4D.
L4D has one DLC, you silly shit!
Fucking finally. Maybe we'll stop seeing "Generic Shooter #50867" and we'll start seeing some actual quality games.
You underestimate the evil that is the EA Accountancy Department. It's all a ploy to get micro-transactions going. People have saw through the expansion/expansion/expansion money cycle and it's not working anymore. So they ditch the expansions, make the games a bit more base level entertaining and pound you in the ass with $5 top hats for your ingame character. Smaller payments cons the customer into thinking it's almost free. "$1 for a blue sword? Ahh whatever.. havin' it!" Except the customer will micro-transact his way into the same $30/year expansion bullshit we already have. Only this time EA doesn't have to pay for discs/booklets/cases/artwork/shipping and all the other costs that go along with producing an actual boxed product. They just have Joe from Arts whip up a blue sword in Corel draw and add it to your characters database entry. They make more money, do less work and the customer has absolutely nothing to show for it except a couple of pixels.
By that train of thought, ANY singleplayer sequel is simply a map pack.
Yeah, MW2 totally didn't have additional guns, new vehicles, nor new gameplay modes. [editline]06:46PM[/editline]
L4D has one DLC, you silly shit!
Yeah I bought the game when it was released and I expected TF2-like updates and additions, instead I got one lousy map.
Let's hope this isn't just PR bullshit.
