Might wanna change the title to "Five hours' sleep is enough, for middle-aged women study finds" since nowhere does it mention it's ok for people under 40 to sleep 5 hours. And I thought it was already known that old people need less sleep?
Well let's see, I went to sleep last night at 10:00 AM after watching documentary about Best Korea and Dear Leader, and woke up at about 7:00 PM today. So 9 hours.
Well shit I guess I need another 2 hours.
I didn't know about this heart disease thing. But there's no way i will sleep less than 5 hours unless there's a good fucking reason for it. I already have problems paying attention.
I sleep so goddamn irregularly. Sometimes I'll sleep for just 4 hours, and at other times like 12. Mostly because I only have classes two days a week, and only work 3 days a week.
Maybe it won't kill you, but I need at least seven hours of sleep to be tolerable.
i get 7, but i can live off of 6. 5 or less is just painful.
I go for 10-12
I opened up the Daily Mail this morning and read a headline saying that "too much sleep can KILL YOU". Safe to say that I'm never gonna attempt to read another one of those "newspapers" again.
5 is enough but that just makes me feel all sleepy around 20:00 or 22:00. And in the first few hours it feels like I've been dragged out off my bed instead of doing it myself. I like 8 hours myself, but I can easily do 10 or even 12. I just love to sleep.
I sleep like 6-7 hours on normal school days and at school I am really sleepy. I wonder why
I need at least eight hours otherwise the day is shitty.
i get 3-5hours of sleep on a given workday. Excluding the fact I sleep about 3 hours during my commute to and back from work.
In my school, the workload would make you be glad you have enough sleep if you're a senior. Luckily, there's coffee being sold in the canteen.
-snip fuck wrong thread* Either way this is good news for me.
I usually have 5-6 hours of sleep on school weeks though I supplement it with 1-3 cups of coffee in the morning works rather great for me.
I sleep like 6-7 hours on normal school days and at school I am really sleepy. I wonder why
because school is boring as soon as you get there instant tiredness.
I've been living off 5-7 for at least 4 years now, and it's been working great. I only feel tired on those really long days and even the, 5 is always re-cooperating enough.
For the past two weeks I've either been getting 4 hours sleep, or none at all. There's a bird outside my window that's up at 12:30 at night for some fucking reason. It's the loudest thing I've ever heard, and keeps going until morning. I will wring the bird's neck, I swear it.
I only sleep 5-6 hours usually, and I feel fine. Then again, I'm used to it.
I had a lesson with my flight instructor this morning on 3 hours of sleep, it didn't hit me until after I got home though. Getting up for it was a bitch though
fuck them i need my 12 hour rest
Well fuck. I sleep for close to 10 hours if it's a day off. Around 7 to 8 when I have school.
Studies find conflicting data on sleep all the time, I just ignore them.
I need to start working out.
People are different. Some people need 5 hours some need 8. I happen to one of those few that get by on 5-6 hours. Anything longer and I'm groggy.
My friends have told me to try to identify your sleep cycle. For instance, mine is a 3-hour cycle. If I sleep for 6 hours ( 2 x 3-hour cycles ), then I feel much more rested than if I had slept, say, 8 hours. I'd be waking up 2 hours into a cycle. Through trial and error, this method seems to work for me. I advise you guys to try and figure out your sleeping cycles as well, if such cycles even exist in every person.
I can sleep about 3 hours and function fine, but just for a day or so, doing that for a while can be rough on my temper. [editline]12:57AM[/editline] Go to bed at midnight, wake up at 5:30, every day. Go to school. Occasionally take a nap after school. Works fine for me.
Definitely not news to me.
I usually sleep for 5 hours a day on weekdays, due to tight scheduals. Although I have gotten used to it, but I feel incredibly drowsy when waking up, opposing to having the refreshed and energetic feeling you would get after sleeping in on the weekends.
