After that long night yesterday and the massive amounts of beer, I have to admit that 6 hours aren't good for you :)
I always wake up after 5-6 hrs of sleep, so yeah it might be the right amount. After those 5-6 hrs I can't get into a deep sleep anymore.
i sleep for 8 hours, alarm wakes me up, then another 20 minutes otherwise i feel like shit
then again im 17
Anyone in their teenager years can get about 6-8 hours and be fine. But above teenager, you should get around 8-12 really sometimes.
it's the other way round
I have to sleep 8 hours or I am tired.
I can back this up, five hours is great for me and I'm fine the next day.
I got about 4 hours of sleep last night, and then worked 16 hours straight. I did just fine.
I actually feel better when I only get 5 hours, If I get 8 I feel like shit.
My schedule is something like 5 hours of sleep for Monday, 6 for Tuesday, 7 for the rest of the week, and like 10 for the weekend.
It's crazy but it works.
For me I love sleeping but hate waking up at like 10:30 am or later. Just feels like wasted hours. If I could stop time I would wake up at 8, stop time, fall asleep til I'm ready to wake up, resume time.
I sleep anything between 0 and 20 hours a day/night, i wish i was kidding.
I feel tired if I don't get around 10 hours most days. 8 works sometimes.
ITT: People discuss how much they sleep.
I tend to get about 7-10 hours, depending on my timetable and weekends.
Sleep? Sleep? Oh that thing replaced by coffee.
To be honest I usually sleep around four to five hours and really coming to the conclusion that I need radically more.
It's just an excuse to make your work longer. 5 is not enough.
I had 5 hours sleep last night - i could get up but i still felt like shit.
5 hourses of sleep? Have that regualry, the only problem is getting up, once I managed that, the day is pretty normal.
I sleep 5-6 hours a day. 8 hours on weekends.
I always seem to wake up energized, and keep being active for the rest of the day.
Hell, even yesterday when I only got 2 hours due to temporary insomnia (which was caused from overactivity because I slept over 8 hours the previous day) I was able to be stably active until about 22:00, so that might just be me personally.
It also depends on age guys. Already seen studies like this. The younger you are the more sleep you need. The older you get, the less you need.
A teenager would be good with 10 hours of sleep. A 20-30ish year old would be in the 8 hour. Anything about 25++ can handle the 5-6 limit.
I get around 5-6 hours of sleep on a normal college day for the past 3 weeks and it hasn't affected me at all yet.
I am a man who loves to sleep in and i get very pissy and irritated without at least 6-7 hours.
(Depends if i got a fucking paper to write for college)
Plus no matter what studies show, I for one still believe that
more sleep = better health/mood.
I don't sleep Friday and saturday the rest of the week I sleep 5-7 hours. Not counting the time I sleep at school.

Do I have a sleeping disorder?

Lucky. But i guess some people are short sleepers.
Also, i got a 6AM College Alg. class so that's something that will almost certain NOT brighten anyone's day.
The way I see it, as long as your sleep schedule is consistent to a half hour (5 hours vs 5 and a half hours' sleep), you shouldn't feel any negative side effects. 7-8 hours of sleep is the prime in most cases though, but 5 hours wouldn't harm you.
I sleep around 7 or 8 hours (maybe more sometimes, but I feel awful if I sleep for more than 10), usually between 23:00 and 7:00. Never play after 20:00 if I can to be sure not to overstress myself.
Seems to work wonders, considering that I am nearly never tired during day while my other classmates are falling asleep on their chairs (though they also drink energy drinks and coffee, which cause some nasty crashes).

Almost the same story. My class starts at 8h clock but I have to travel 1,5 hours. I have school from 8am till 5 pm + 3 hours of traveling.
Fuck that. I love my 12 hours sleep. (Most of the time.)

You wasted 1/2 of your life sleeping. (If you continue to sleep that long, that is)
