New =/= powerful.
Processor: Intel Core-i7 920 2.67 Ghz Video Card: Nvidia GTX 295. RAM: 6GB OS: Windows 7 64-bit. I think I should be able run this game perfectly fine on max with no AA yet my FPS is below 30 all the time. They recommend a core 2 duo processor with an 8800GTS and 2GB RAM. There should be no reason this game is performing this poorly on my computer. Think next time before trying to be a smartass.
lol that does nothing.
I'm sorry what was that?
Patch the game, DX9 mode, modify cfgs success?? ?????
The game is already patched with v1.2 (which I believe is the latest, I can't find any other) and DX9 wouldn't be as a pretty (because you can't set Very High on DX9). It still stands, it shouldn't run this bad unless the issue is due to 64 bit Windows 7. Crysis on the Steam Store does say this about Windows XP/Vista.
*** Currently only the 32-bit version is available.
It's just that very high is locked if you got dx9, but all the features can still be used

Can only run high with no AA on dx10, some levels though can add 2*AA. And DX9 can run very high 4*AA. And only difference i notice is no object motion blur.
Yes, you can turn on object motion blur in DX9, it's r_motionblur 5 or something
The demo is pretty fun. In the beginning I got my ass kicked but after you get in the zone it gets good. My only problem with it was the lag, not the servers themselves, but the game just seems kind of strange, one time I got shot, and my body actually fell/slid in the direction of the guy shooting me. There's just little things about the game that are hard to point out, you'll notice them when you play it, it just seems buggy/laggy. Other than that, the game's great. It seems like a great game to 'get in the zone' with. When you reach that point when you just kick so much ass you can pull of amazing combos. Pretty cool moments too, like jumping off a building and smashing the ground, killing 3 people.
"get in the zone"? What the fuck does that mean
If you want a (consolized) dumbed down PC game, purchase any game made by Epic games.
baby now i know you didn't just insult unreal tournament, if it's so dumbed down let's see you play it
baby now i know you didn't just insult unreal tournament, if it's so dumbed down let's see you play it
I think he meant Epic's new series(UT3) which is dumbed down compared to old ones.
Does it still have large scale / vehicle maps like in Crysis Wars? I wouldn't mind a few close-quarter maps, but it'd be awesome if we get to have both. That's why I love Bad Company 2 so much.
I think he meant Epic's new series(UT3) which is dumbed down compared to old ones.
how i mean besides for what are several minor changes there's no fucking difference this is coming from someone who played UT99 religiously
"connections" right
right absolutely nobody has played the full game it's making itself and cevat yerli just found it like that

At 1920x1080 on my old GTX 260/core 2 E7500 rig I got around 21fps on very high. Your gpu is more or less 2 gtx 260s so there must be some issue. The normal antialiasing wont work on the foliage because it is a transparent slab with a texture on it. So Crytek implemented a type of minor blurring to make the foliage look better. But it can't work simultaneously with typical antialiasing.
legend of zelda was a fluke
What do you mean by that?
Hopefully this comes out at least a few weeks prior to release so I have time to pre-order and such. I'm on the fence about what platform to get Crysis 2 on, while I'd love to get it on PC I'm not sure how well my computer will be able to run it.
I never got whats so special in those graphics.
that particular screenshot does not appear maxed out, either [editline]30th January 2011[/editline]
Processor: Intel Core-i7 920 2.67 Ghz Video Card: Nvidia GTX 295.
What do you mean by that?
sarcasm
here's a testamaroo these are ingame settings, the screenshots in Jaehead's post have altered settings (hence "Custom HDR MGPU" everything Very High (highest), 16xQ anti-aliasing: [img_thumb]http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/4539/screenshot0004zl.jpg[/img_thumb] everything Very High, no anti-aliasing: [img_thumb]http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/2034/screenshot0005zk.jpg[/img_thumb] i prefer to play without anti-aliasing since it makes such a minor difference due to the engine's rendering methods and yet, as you can see, drops it down to ~66% performance
"get in the zone"? What the fuck does that mean
A quick google search for 'get in the zone' gives us: "Flow is the mental state of operation in which a person in an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and success in the process of the activity."

Almost like you want to get in the stalker zone or some shit.
that particular screenshot does not appear maxed out, either [editline]30th January 2011[/editline] hey doofus, one's on high and one's on very high hardly any of that is post processing [editline]30th January 2011[/editline] there is no anti-aliasing in these screenshots you may have turned it on, but it clearly isn't working
That's what I said above. The ingame AA has little to no effect.
Looks like a fun game tbh, it has some new things i haven't seen up until now. That is what i look for in games really. Please god no games for windows live?
Doesn't work.
If this isn't object motion blur I don't know what is.
I don't wish to sound like I think PC deserves the most respect in the gaming community (even though it does) because I understand companies make games to earn profits, and when an Xbox demo makes you more money, you release it. But, I feel like PC games are slowly being shoved into the back seat, and I don't like it. I'm not going to buy this game, nor any game, which dumbs down any part of the gaming experience on the PC because of consoles.
I don't see how they will improve their games by not buying them if their problem with PC games in the first place is that they don't sell well thus they don't do much for them.
hey doofus, one's on high and one's on very high hardly any of that is post processing
Yet that's the only option I changed for the screenshots, everything else was on very high. Imagine that. :downs:
Looks like a fun game tbh, it has some new things i haven't seen up until now. That is what i look for in games really. Please god no games for windows live?
Don't worry; no GFWL. It's going to be on the EADM and most likely Steam as well.
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-295,2107-4.html You're doing something wrong. lol 6 FPS
6 FPS is a big difference during combat.
