Okay why then - I guess the US is a backwater country because China's economy is a big bigger than ours now (oh, forgot they're possibly entering a recession currently) Yeah as it was stated in the thread about that law, it's already unconstitutional and that law is unenforceable to begin with. But of course, it's more important to crack down on the civil rights of Muslims because they're essentially all terrorists, right?
You're kidding yourself if you believe the US is still the best at everything we do. The size of our GDP is what makes us the best I think. China can say what they want, but they lie about their country's numbers. That segment from the TV series "The Newsroom" comes to mind where the man just rips the US apart in his monologue
But of course, it's more important to crack down on the civil rights of Muslims because they're essentially all terrorists, right?
Denying entry of non-US muslims is a civil rights violation? Don't tell that to President Carter

The NY Times have got a nice page on the NH Exit Polls. Some of the demographics are surprising. http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/02/09/us/elections/new-hampshire-democrat-poll.html?smid=tw-share&_r=0
2008 Not yet Yes Yes
sensational as your avatar. the gridlock started in 2010 after the republicans dug in and stopped even the most basic procedural proceedings in the government, our military is still overwhelmingly more powerful than china's (fun fact, they couldn't even do a basic nuclear launch drill without moral breakdowns as recently as a couple years ago) our economy is in transition from a manufacturing and export one to a service one, and ya our employment laws really do need reform, and our education system needs to catch up to the new norms of employment. our civil rights have never been more expansive and more restricted, yes the government has extraordinary powers for surveillance and has abused them consistently as the recent leaks have shown, but at the same time, we have just legalized same sex marriage throughout the country, you can carry a gun just about anywhere too, and there are protection laws on the boooks for disabled people, women, minorities, and gender identity and sexual preference are being added throughout the country, and to top it all off, you can go places in this country and buy weed and smoke it in the open, so the state of the country today is more complicated than the partisan lines would have us think, we are in flux right now, and this election cycle is probably the biggest indicator of that
85% of people that think that the right experience for a candate was paramount voted clinton I'm a little surprised
Her name recognition (the Clinton name, really, so add in Bill's tenure on the national stage) is equal to public perception of "experience," regardless of the quality or content of that experience. What I find more interesting from those exit polls is the income breakdown of the voters. Actually, I lied: it's not at all interesting to see that the only group favoring Clinton was the $200,000+ demographic. It's just sad.
old people are, for the most part, selfish stupid and docile
Bernie Sanders doesn't seem to be selfish stupid and docile.
Hillary has to have the ugliest campaign logo I've ever seen.
No it's perfect, it shows that she's heading toward the right.
So, uh, so much for Rubio, right?
old people are, for the most part, selfish stupid and docile
Young people are, for the most part, selfish (to the point of being narcissistic), stupid, and docile. Hell-- Americans in general are selfish, stupid, and docile.
Oh jesus yes.
Denying entry of non-US muslims is a civil rights violation? Don't tell that to President Carter
You mean when Carter temporarily denied entry to Iranians owing to a hostage crisis as part of a major diplomatic incident? One country denying access to another country's citizens is a way to encourage negotiation from the other country. Denying people on the grounds of religion cannot serve as a tool of pressure because religions are not controlled by any kind of religious government- reform must serve as part of a monolithic effort. Not to mention that by 'denying Muslims', Trump's America would not only be denying the primarily Sunni terrorist groups such as ISIS, but also one of their main targets, the Shia, Malala Yousafzai, dozens of famous musicians, hundreds of athletes, a currently-serving Congressman... If any of those individuals wished to enter the country, or leave and then re-enter the country, they would not be allowed on grounds of being Muslim. You might notice that that would be ridiculously impossible, and would also achieve nothing, because Muslims can simply pretend not to be Muslim if they feel they need to (eg a terrorist feeling it is his holy duty to destroy America). Or are we just deporting anyone who's brown, or owns a Qur'an, or looks kind of shifty, now?

I just hope that whoever wins is able to dispel the notion that Barack Obama doesn't know what he's doing
"for the most part"
You meant "most old people are" I somehow read "Old people are mostly"
So, uh, so much for Rubio, right?
Rubio got fucking roasted on the last debate by Christie, im going to guess that had a tremendous impact on NH with him, tho not enough for him to drop

It's amazing the degree by which bernie won. 22.4 is unheard of in the primaries.
Did anyone notice that the arrow is pointing to the right and not left?
Generally when you have things pointing to the right, it means being progressive and looking forward, whereas pointing to the left means looking back on the past / being conservative. Hence why the animals on the logos of many universities are facing to the left as if looking back on their heritage. However this isn't true of all universities, some have theirs 'looking to the future'. Tl;dr Clinton's campaign logo of the arrow pointing right means being progressive, rather than being representative of the 'political right wing'.
That's a bit of a stretch, especially in the world of politics with an already, and very blatantly, defined "left" and "right".
Because Clinton would totally be like 'jk guys I'm actually rightwing lol' despite her politics clearly indicating she's on the American political leftwing.
Because Clinton would totally be like 'jk guys I'm actually rightwing lol' despite her politics clearly indicating she's on the American political leftwing.
I'm of the opinion that someone saw the opportunity to make a fucking arrow out of the H in her name, and that it means nothing more than "progress", direction of progress irrelevant. It's not a conspiracy of any form, it's a fucking arrow in a logo.
It's amazing the degree by which bernie won. 22.4 is unheard of in the primaries.
Bernie pretty much owns the north east so that isn't a surprise, imo.
On the day of her inauguration President Clinton will press a button which will flip the arrow around as she announces a full communist dictatorship while laughing maniacally at the fools who didn't examine her logo closely enough
