This might have been true before all the parties except the SNP started getting anal about terrorism and immigration. It's not anymore

I'd say that at this point, the Lib Dems are, at least in public image, no longer a major player. Whether or not any party will take their place is to be proven, though.

If anybody does, it will likely be UKIP, leaving the choices at "Right-wing party", "Slightly less right-wing party", and "Slightly more right-wing party".

Minority governments without a coalition are a terrible idea and nobody would let it happen for long. What ends up happening is nothing gets passed because the government in power can be overrulled by the opposition and another disagreeing party.
i'll be following it only for when nick clegg suddenly implodes from all the hate and derision that he is going to receive

Liberals should have dumped Clegg a long time ago. And David should have been the leader for Labor, might not have made a blind bit of difference policy wise but i have zero faith in either of those 2 'leaders'.
