This was the yearbook from a high school in my town last year. My school's their cross-town rival, so we could get away with making fun of it, but our yearbook's cover was designed to look like an iPhone so we couldn't say much.
Holy shit if I got that as my yearbook I would ask for a refund
There was one guy in my grade who looked like a dork freshman year and was prom queen senior year.
well he sure sounds like a beautiful woman to me
60$?! What the fuck?! For a year book?! The only year book I ever bought at my school was like 5€, how is this 60$?! Does it come with CoD: Ghosts included or something?
It gives you the courage to ask out that girl in your math class that you keep telling yourself you'll muster up the courage tomorrow
My yearbook class actually made it worth the $50. I managed to get a George Carlin quote in there so you know that shit's legit.
Someone I know quoted Hitler. I myself quoted from the movie Men in Black.
I only appeared in one photo in the yearbook they did for my school, because I was too shy to approach anyone and nobody really knew me or anything about me they joking changed my name to "That guy.", so even if someone sees that picture they still won't know who I am if they didn't know my name. Strange life..
sounds like you're still mad about the time captain of the football team John Swole beat you up sophomore year
Funny thing, there was no football team but a brand new football/track/soccer field. I think my school was the only school in that district with a football field and no team. You could say I'm angry because I spent I think $80-90 for the yearbook and to top that off, money wasted on a really ugly senior class sweater. Oh yea they forgot to put a ton of people's senior quotes in too, I almost got away with having the same baby picture as my friend though. Ended up with my friend having my baby picture next to his senior picture, so there's a pale Asian baby next to a really dark, kinda Indian, looking Filipino.
Man I feel sorry for the guys who made my school's yearbook last year. A bunch of people walked out of the team and it definitely shows that they were undermanned because it had a lot of errors. Don't understand why y'all yearbooks are so damn expensive though. Our school's yearbooks are just 5$
I've been fortunate enough to receive a yearbook every single year so far. I mostly like them because of the atrocious design and Photoshop work inside. I really ought to look through them all and see if there's anything worth saving.
Our year book was awful. They tried to make it look like a celebrity gossip magazine, the pictures where blurred or pixelated and the text was all over the place. Biggest waste of £12 ever
How long? It's been 5 years and I'm still not missing it
As soon as you realize how sheltered school is aka as soon as you grow up. The only people I know who still think in these "meh school is shit don't wanna remember" etc. ways are what you'd call manchilds.
Oh man i was in yearbook class as an editor, I was the one helping with the graphics and what not on each page. It was the most tedious and stressful class in while since we had to make everything was RIGHT. It was a big deal if a box was one pixel off. It was so bad one of the editors started crying the day before a deadline was and she wasn't finished. Our yearbook costs around 80$ but I do have to give credit to our advertisement team for making it not cost around 150$ :V Also that yearbook looks like ass even for 70$
At least you guys get yearbooks We pay $30 for a class composite and that's it
My school doesn't even have yearbooks I'll have to remember everyone through social media or memory
Bought one when I was in school, still consider it a gigantic waste of money. Maybe I won't in 20 years, god knows. 23 now and been working for four years and two at my current job, I'd rather the real life over the rose-tinted goggles any day of the week.
I prefer the real life too. I get $600 every week compared to $0 every week when I was at school. I prefer only going to university for four hour days, four days per week rather than six hour days, five days per week. I prefer having my own home and not having to live with anyone else's rules (except the landlord's, but that's only no smoking and no pets). But on the other hand, I got to see all my friends in the one place. We could all drink together on the weekend because none of us had any commitments outside of school. Senior school was a breeze and at that point teachers didn't give a fuck what you did. And I didn't have to work until midnight five or six nights per week. Even though I had no money aside from when my dad was nice, there was more freedom. I'm only 19 but I feel heaps old already, I'm halfway towards being a chartered accountant, I'm economically and legally (legally independent, ie parents have no control over me) self-sufficient and I live by myself. When I think of senior school I think of being young again.
When you start studying full-time at university, have to balance that with a part-time job, and live by yourself. I'm not sure if you meet all or even any of that criteria. I miss senior school, it was the best. I would love to have the opportunity to travel back in time and re-live at least one regular day there.
I work full time as a fisherman, I don't like my job but I have to pay my share of the rent to the apartment I share with my step-brother as well as to out food on the table. School felt pretty much the same as work. I had to get up early in the morning of every weekday, I had to do a bunch of tedious chores during the day, I was stuck with a bunch of people who only talked to me because I was their coworker, went home and tried to enjoy myself a little before going to bed and restarting the process. I don't like my life now, but I sure as fuck didn't like my life any better before. Sure I have bills to pay, but at least I no longer live at home, I make more money, and I can drink all the booze I can afford. I feel both cursed and lucky, because I've never had reason to look back on my life I have only things to look forwards to.

my highschool yearbook costed $50 at the start of the year and $110 now its ridiculous
I don't even buy yearbooks My parents insisted I buy a yearbook when i finished middle school I don't even know where the yearbook is now
we never got yearbooks, i don't see what the fuss is over them
