What's the fifth product column for
How is anyone ever going to figure that out from just looking at the picture? When it's empty it's just a faded square.
I'll probably preorder L4D3 too even though it'll be on sale for $5 at the end of the month
There hasn't been any real dlc in ages. It's definitely Valve's least supported game out of all the recent ones. Although that could go to Portal 2.
Generally speaking, Valve has a miserable time with creating DLC content for their games. TF2 is pretty much the outlier when it comes to DLC. Nothing else from the Orange Box era ever received DLC support; pre-Source 2007 games never receive any content updates; L4D1's content was more or less all ported to L4D2; and L4D2 hasn't seen many significant updates, with Cold Stream being a pretty lukewarm package. I think CS:GO and DOTA 2 are the only two other Valve games with a significant stream of DLC, and even then, a lot of their content comes from community creations (or, in DOTA 2's case, implementing missing heroes).
maybe l4d3 is their code name for hl3
that's a dick move, to take pictures of confidential emails and post them on the internet
It's not email. [editline]5th August 2013[/editline] It's a lot like the Jira leak, but AFAIK, that still wasn't email.
Here's the full res version of the image [t]http://i.imgur.com/IwAmjjp.jpg[/t]
If this is true and valve announces l4d3 before hl3, I'm done. I'M FUCKING DONE.
I'll hold off on purchasing L4D3 until they release the old maps and characters as DLC again to completely nullify any reason for purchasing the previous game.
If this is true and valve announces l4d3 before hl3, I'm done. I'M FUCKING DONE.
That's what they all say.
Here's the full res version of the image [t]http://i.imgur.com/IwAmjjp.jpg[/t]
If you look at some of the L4D3 strings, they're porting in bits and pieces of the original Source 1 engine as a WIP model while programming Source 2. i.e. one of the strings mentions that they were just switching over to Source 2 hitboxes. So I think L4D3 might still have a lot of work.
I would be simultaneously amused and pissed off if this was to be announced before HL3.
Here's the full res version of the image [t]http://i.imgur.com/IwAmjjp.jpg[/t]
cool apparently source2 has revised hitbox code thats nice
That's what they all say.
Quite literally. That L4D2 boycott was one of the funniest and saddest things I've seen from the community.
automerge.
Their bugtracker is hosted on the valvesoftware.com website. It looks like the URL is something similar to "diary.valvesoftware.com" Can anyone make it out?

I kind of wish this hadn't leaked so that we could really have that moment when Gabe comes on the stage at E3 and a '3' appears on the screens and the crowd cheers, then the L4D logo comes up
Also, I wonder what SteamOps FBS is. Sounds like a covert Valve project :v:
Quite literally. That L4D2 boycott was one of the funniest and saddest things I've seen from the community.
L4d2 was excusable but this will (could) be the third left 4 dead they've released without a word of half life 3 or it's equivalent.
If this is true and valve announces l4d3 before hl3, I'm done. I'M FUCKING DONE.
cry about it.
Well, the danielj address gives an ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED. If this is real, I'm guessing they're already aware and took it down.
Well, the danielj address gives an ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED. If this is real, I'm guessing they're already aware and took it down.
I don't think their internal changelog is a public website
Well, the danielj address gives an ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED. If this is real, I'm guessing they're already aware and took it down.
It's an intranet site, you can't access it from outside their network.
the first valve game that proudly says 3 i want to see source 2, hoping for larger maps and normal terrain editing
You don't really need larger maps for source games.
From what I understand, Valve doesn't let people in without signing an NDA, and photos are strictly prohibited. So either they didn't give them NDA's or someone's about to get their pants sued off.
When I went to Valve I didn't get an NDA. Although I did get told not to take photos.
tbh I'd prefer a L4D3 Episode 3 would be nice, but I'd put way more hours into L4D3 and have way more fun
Well, the danielj address gives an ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED. If this is real, I'm guessing they're already aware and took it down.
Or you just don't know what an intranet is. Fucking ninjas.
It's http://danielj.valvesoftware.com/p4monitor/.
Seems to be only accessible from within Valve, as it 404s otherwise. And it 404ed even right when the thing was just discovered.
