I knew I forgot my bed sheets somewhere.
Weather balloon.
Its probably just James Cameron.
Were doomed.
Looks like a tent.
Cthulhu's foreskin
My dad worked on an oil rig, and he brought home a video from the ROV of these massive jelly fish around the drilling pipe. Not as large as this one, but still a good 25 feet across.
Someone call the Foundation.
Nope, it's confirmed - It's a scrotum, shrinking and expanding due to temperature change.
Very unusual looking creature.
lol god made that?
On a related note, Oceaneering ROV's are pretty cool. (Skip to 1:16 if you don't want to see the silly intro) Oil industry uses them pretty much on a daily basis to check their wells and pipes. They occasionally discover new stuff with them too and other oddities that float by like this guy. As it turns out, whales are not very good helpers.
I'm actually thinking of building one after I finish my quadcopter. I'm thinking perhaps a reach of 5 or 10 meters, a tiny vehicle made out of a tube.
lol god made that?
fyi god is a total wino
I more terrified of the ocean then I am of outer space.
So after hundreds of Marine Biologists gather to study the footage, a few college kids come out and say It was just a condom that they blew up until it split
That is actually disturbing on another level. The way it ripples and moves and has that near perfect geometric design of hexagons is just so... beautiful, but deeply unnerving.
What the fuck am I looking at? When did evolution decide that THAT thing is a winning design?
I would imagine the insane pressures of the deep ocean would prevent it from having any real solid shape considering how small it is and that's why it's very thin and flat. It even looks as if it has some kind of ultra reinforced membrane. It probably survives because no animal would want to eat that shit, or could eat it for that matter.
I'm not saying it's an alien. But it's an alien.
looks like Cthulu hocked a lugi.

They float around the 3-7 miles of ocean between the surface and the floor and never touch anything hard, so their body never has a need to develop hard structures. Animals that live in the deep are fine against the pressure because they're already at equalized pressure with it. To them, that's their atmospheric norm. If they were to get pulled up to the surface (which happens a lot) They explode so to speak.
I hate how the man wants to know every inch of the space when we know barely the 2% of the ocean. The seas itself are just another world in our world and we left that opportunity pass.
What the fuck am I looking at? When did evolution decide that THAT thing is a winning design?
Maybe it's like a blanket so it can withstand that amount of pressure down there. I dunno.
Half life 3 ARG
yo
Maybe it's not a living creature at all. Maybe it is one of cthulhu's skin flakes.
i like the hexagonal pattern on it
When in the video was that?
The 4:00 minute mark roughly.
It probably eats by enveloping a whole school of fish, sealing itself and digesting it. Horror movie plot anyone?
I love deep ocean creatures so much. And I'm scared shitless by them.
Fuck I always thought I was the only one.
It probably eats by enveloping a whole school of fish, sealing itself and digesting it. Horror movie plot anyone?
Already a horror plot!
