My favorite was the bio on Tupac.
Tupac was amazing.
His last words as was dying?
"[sp]Fuck the police.[/sp]"
Hmmm, I'll believe it when I see it. And by "it", I mean "Schedules that aren't full of nothing but rednecks bitching at each other and doing jobs".
Wheeler Dealers 24/7 would also be acceptable.
Bring back some interesting engineering or science shows, or new content like it. I thought stuff like Prototype This! and Junkyard Wars (Scrapheap Challenge in the UK) was engaging, interesting and an absolute blast to watch.
Honestly, the first season or two of Pawn Stars wasn't all that bad. It was a little refreshing, it was like antiques roadshow but it didnt make you want to fall asleep. It got pretty quickly flanderized and the show became more about wacky scripted reality show pranks and weird-ass cars than about little relics from history and the world they came from. I feel kind of the same way about Pickers. I'm a big-time garage sale/estate sale guy, mostly because the sales are a way to see objects from other time periods and it gives you a profound sense of history. Nothing's better than picking up a Mark Twain book in some old fart's basement and finding out it was printed when Mark Twain was still alive. Those shows kinda tapped into that world and it was great, but now they're really bland and more about the people than the objects. The same kind of thing happened with Cake Boss, come to think of it.
On a different note, it would be so cool to see those good old-fashioned wildlife documentaries again. We need another Steve Irwin.
If they have a show about a Pawn Shop, at least make it one. There are way too many of them. Also, the ones with bunkers are too many.
I remember the time I saw a 2 hour special about the construction progress and theory of the LHC on discovery channel. That was quite a long time ago.
Both Discovery and History have recently become "The Redneck Network," and while shit like that can be funny sometimes, it's not what they should be showing on Discovery.

Fuckin A. I live in Indiana; I'm surrounded by dumbass rednecks every freaking day. When I turn on the Discovery Channel, I'd like to see some smart people change.
Goddamn Duck Dynasty. Everyone just wants a piece of that money pot.

Man Indy is pretty garbage most of the time. Someplace cool will open it up and it will almost always die because it isn't a safe corporate franchise. This is the most burgerland you can get I feel.
hopefully they fix animal planet while they are at it as well. I remember when it had actual educational content about animals but now its this "surprisingly human" shit and its all alaskin survival reality shows

I became thoroughly confused a few weeks ago when I turned the TV guide to Animal Planet and "Mud Lovin' Rednecks" was on for a marathon

The worst part is that my dad's a chronic channel-flipper and he always seems to linger on these particular reality show marathons, and even goes back to them later on
I miss when Animal Planet was about animal wildlife, animal humor and animal facts.

Did that show "Pawnography" go anywhere. I remember it having the tagline "get your hands on their junk"

They also make sure to say "Pawnography" as much as possible during that show.
I watched an episode once and it was so bad.
I remember back when I watched Scrapheap wars(the british one) and heaps of good WW2 doc's on Discovery. I dunno, but it suddenly turned into a more "americanized" channel with 100 commercials and a lot of the same shitty reality shows
Every single time I go to that channel, its Pawn Stars.
How the hell is that show even popular.

I don't know but I have a buddy I can call who is an expert on shows that somehow remain popular.
I am so motherfucking sick of ice road truckers.
