Vin Diesel said 'I Am Groot" over 1,000 times for Guardians of the Galaxy

[QUOTE=Magikoopa24;45492362]Actually, ever since 2006 (just read this on wikipedia btw), he got a completely different backstory- basically his entire race is a bunch of geniuses that hand down their knowledge through photosynthesis. Because of the stiffness of their larnyx (as Diesel said, a "wooden larnyx"), most people who hear their language sounds like "I am Groot." Groot (the one we know) was a royal of the people (thus is one of the smartest of them) who liked the squirrel slaves on his planet more than he did his own species. Eventually he killed another of his species for being very brutal to one of the squirrels, causing him to be exiled.
The older backstory sounds a lot more interesting, but for the movie it's probably better that they went with the new one, only because it sounds a bit less complicated.[/QUOTE]
I knew about all of that, I just kinda combined the two in my head, since they never established all the Groots said "I am Groot" until that Rocket and Groot comic which happened well after GotG
It's more fun to think about how Groot used to be this incredibly regal and egotistical guy who has this raccoon that annoyed the shit out of him clinging to his head.

Isn't that pretty much Moses' backstory?
Vin is the most amazing dude in person, super down to earth
[QUOTE=Zillamaster55;45487499]Isn't he a huge D&D Fan?

Welp answered :v:
Also Vin Diesel's voice would make a _great_ DM.[/QUOTE]
He's a gigantic D&D fan. He even wrote the foreword for the 30th anniversary commemorative book.
[url]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36_-DauQi0s[/url] <- This is him ranting about how cool it is. He really does seem like a down to earth and regular guy. Also, I haven't done a media tag in like years so if someone wants to quote me and fix that that'd be peaches :v:

I think we need like a bouncing big-ass yellow box, bordered with hazard-lines, with huge blinking red text reading "REMOVE THE S IN HTTPS WHEN MEDIA-TAGGING YOUTUBE VIDEOS" in it.
How many months have we had to do this now, and there are people who still haven't figured it out. :v:
No offense intended personally, Rainbow. But yes, all you need to do is remove the "s" in "https" when media-tagging videos from YouTube.
(Alternately, whoever manages the BBCode for the forum could just make the media tags automatically remove the "s" in "https", but where's the challenge in that? :v:)
