I was in a Day of Defeat Source server yesterday and a fellow American was making some jokes and being funny while playing, and he had the highest score out of anyone in the server, then some guy from the UK starts shit talking him takes the game way too seriously. I'm not saying everyone in the UK is like that but he couldn't even take a joke.

I would only agree on the US it was based solely on "Whose Line is it Anyway?". As an American, I would probably choose Japan, Germany, or the UK in the top 3 with no particular order. American comedy is generally meh.

Hell, I actually think most of it is attributed to Comedy Central which was in turn bought out by Americans, It was originally a Canadian company.
Speaking as a neighbour of USA, I have to say although they have the most prominent Comedy on-air, they also have the worst overall as most of them are horrible, I would look over to the UK as the best because I enjoy the humour of it.
But in the end it all boils down on what you laugh at.

How have you gone your whole life without having any familiarity with Fawlty Towers and Only Fools and Horses and such? Those kind of shows are everywhere around Christmas.
