The Egyptian protests worked and got Mubarak out of power, the Libyan protests at least got Gadaffi out of the country, now even the North Koreans are protesting.
Us British can't even protest properly to stop raised university fees.
I bet the Tunisian guy who set himself on fire and kick-started all of these revolts would be fucking pleased with himself.
Didn't he only burn himself because he got his stuff repossessed by a woman?
Didn't he only burn himself because he got his stuff repossessed by a woman?
well you're kind of putting it down by oversimplifying it if it was a man repossessing his stuff (that's not the only thing that was said to have occurred) i don't think he'd be totally peachy

From what I heard the reason he burned himself was because it was a woman doing the repossessing rather than a man.

And how did that cause the government to collapse?
Everyone in North Korea is about to die...
This is going to actually be a horrible massacre, north korea has no obligations or care about pressure, no one can do anything and he's prepared to kill the people probably
Watch closely as North Korea bombs itself to death.
And to think this all started with one guy in Tunisia. His self-ignition set off trails of political gunpowder, burning their way towards powder-kegs of discontent just WAITING to go off.
What country's next on the list of the 2011 Revolutions?
Not lil Kim!!! He has two brithdays!

Vyatskoye, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union (Soviet records)

Baekdu Mountain, Japanese Korea
only in Korea gentlemen.
And how did that cause the government to collapse?
Exactly, the real people who caused change are the ones who actually protested, not some sexist man who killed himself.

The sexist who committed suicide was just an excuse for the people in Tunisia to go apeshit.

Holy fuck, I have the same birthday as Kim Jong Il?
[editline]25th February 2011[/editline]
Well, I'm going to need to learn the NK anthem and sing it at my parties
I hope China changes along with this. Completely new labour laws would give the rest of the world a fair chance at mass assembly when Chinese companies have to start paying normal wages.
I thought NK was cut off from the world how did they hear that other revolutions were going on?
Their lives were twenty times worse than pre-revolution Libyans anyway
South Korea drops radios, etc., into North Korean territory so North Korean citizens can listen to South Korean news broadcasts.
I have faith in the Great Leader that everything will be okay.
I'm pretty sure most N. Koreans live in labour camps, I wonder how this will turn out.
This is going to be horrible, knowing Kim Jong Il, he'll probably just massacre the protesters after a few days.
It's going to be a giant Tiananmen Square.
You're being defensive.
You're being defensive.
That sounds like something hitler would say.
these dudes have some balls, hope they don't get killed too bad
I predicted all of this shit like a few months ago and nobody believed me. FUCK ALL OF YOU.

It's amazing how many users have been saying posts similar to that.
Holy fuck. This isn't going to end well...
60% of NK is military, I'd say it's more of Military mutiny instead of an actual revolution.
Knowing kim jong retard, he'll do something stupid like nuke his own people/gun ALL of them down and hire actors to replace them.

just like he did at the world cup.
I laughed and now i feel bad.

:godwin:
I bet the next protest will be another Asian country, then it will move to two European countries, then US, then two South American countries.
It's amazing how many users have been saying posts similar to that.
And it's amazing how little people care
I thought it was impossible, what with NK being so cut off from the outside world, for the protests to spread there.
If just a handful of the protests currently underway succeed in ousting their governments, it will be as significant an event as the fall of the Soviet Union.
If NK falls, anything is possible.
