I think we can say different European nations are more culturally different on a sexual nature, i.e compare the nation of Britain who only do missionary while talking about the weather to the Dutch who have whores dancing around in shop windows.
Or Prague.
"Slack believes that as long as teenagers are fully informed about sex and are making their decisions free of peer pressure and as part of a caring relationship, they have as much right as an adult to a good sex life."
I agree with the above sentence.
There's no problem at all with people 16+ having sex, just as long as they know what they're doing. The only problem with all of his is the whole "safe sex" thing. Some of you guys are saying it's bad because of teen pregnancy. Considering just about most highschools/colleges/clinics -give away- protection, the only way you could screw up is if you're an idiot.

Well I guess in the country-side yes, but up from where I grew up, sex was much more Trans-European in style than anything else.
I don't think this teen pregnancy problem is easily fixed with telling people "fuck with sleeves on".
Even if it is kinda stupid it's a lot better than "HAVING SEX WILL MAKE YOUR DICK FALL OFF NEVER HAVE IT UNTIL YOUR MARRIED"

The fact we have all these systems in Britain, giving away free condoms/birth pills and still having the highest teen prengancy just shows something about our teenagers. We really don't need campaigns going "Hey man! You look great! Keep being cool! as this advert more or less boils down too, we need more campaigns into safe sex.

Well yes I agree with you, but this is just pointing out the obvious, when have people thought sex was bad? I think its just common knowledge that sex is good for you, heck its a lot of exercise for one thing. I'll be honest, one teenage mother I have talked with just wanted a 'little doll' to have, without looking into the further future on how they're going to support a child.
They could spent their money on something more helpful, rather than motivating.
and remember, Community, Identity, Stability.
remember to have sex daily with your friends, it's a great stress reliever, and fun too!
Also daily masturbation can warp your posture and bend your spine the wrong way, that and it creates a muscular imbalance in your body (unless you switch hands every time)
Prism, next time try to show a chart that also includes the country we're talking about (i.e. the United Kingdom) as the news article is about the UK, not Germany or France or the Netherlands and why the hell is Oregon on there?
http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/peo_tee_bir_rat-people-teenage-birth-rate
The US has 52.1 births per 1,000 teenage women, while the UK (#2 on the list) has 30.8.
Sex is indeed exercise but,
what the fuck happened to just normal exercise? You're too good enough now?
Here comes the teen-babies.
Honestly, who cares about teen sex if they're using the proper protection? Now if they were encouraging teens to have sex without protection because it was healthier or some random bullshit, then yeah I'd think this is pretty stupid.
If it really is healthy for you, well then great.. +1 for Masturbation

:iceburn:
Is this some kind of reverse psychology thing?
It's just a way to keep kids who have sex already from having un-safe sex. It's easier to tell them how to safely then to tell them not to.
Also, no source?

That article pretty much sums up why I hate the dailymail.
I don't see anything wrong with this at all. There's tons of stuff out there promoting safe sex and info on STD's.
Why can't people make choices for themselves? Sex isn't illegal, people should just be given all the information, good and bad and left to make up their own damn mind.
Another thread where Wolf_Marine demonstrates his severe biased opinion and inability to analyze facts independently.

I just post unusual stuff I find.
One more thing: Since you are all so content with the idea of having sources for everything, why the hell waste my time saying something an expert in the field has already said in a better fashion?

I know, that's what I was saying.
This is going to have as much of an effect on teen sex rates as abstinence education does. They don't give a fucking fuck.

Why isn't your unusual stuff anything having to do with Israel's purported war crimes in Gaza? Mass Taliban graves in Afghanistan? Dick Cheney covering up a CIA black project? Mark Sanford going hiking?

thats liberal propaganda shut up
I have to agree, that is deplorable. With all the unwanted pregnancies and STDs, they are going to promote promiscuity? What the fuck are they thinking? Sex isn't anything special if you don't love the person anyway.

yes because obviously it was working before
if you have sex, you get STDs!
let's just cut off everyone's dick!
yes because obviously it was working before
Everyone knows by now that cocaine will fuck you up badly. People still do cocaine. Does this mean that we can keep people from becoming addicting by telling everyone "dude, it's such a trip!" Of course it's not working 100%, that doesn't mean it isn't doing any good. Sexualization of the media has done the most harm, simply because it glorifies sex non stop. Making sex education about discovering "pleasure" is not going to help a thing--kids are going to do this anyway, nothing can stop that.

How does the modern media glorify sex?
It doesn't matter how promiscuous someone is, humans are evolved to fuck each others brains out. It's not an issue of morality, because we all know that's bullshit without anything to stand on. It's about STD's, Pregnancy, Sexual Abuse, and avoiding jealousy. To want to screw someone is normal, as long as we avoid all the mentioned, it's fine.
