He saved the industry.
I agree with him. Only because i hate everything made by apple though.
iTunes does influence piracy in a way, I mean shit, 2.49 for a song will eventually cause someone to not buy music any longer, from big producers or iTunes. So in a way, I guess he's right
where the hell on itunes are you spending $2.49 for a song?
The music industry is the worst thing that's happened to the music industry. It has been killing itself even since it started battling its main consumers (file sharers).
in all fairness that WAS high school afterall
His band is named after himself, of course he's a self absorbed asshole. [editline]15th March 2011[/editline] Heck, there are bands that are made up of one person that aren't named after that one person.
sorry but the ability for me to download an east african dance album, a brooklyn hip-hop album, and an icelandic rock album all within seconds and without limitation is the single greatest thing to happen in music people who disagree with that sentiment should ask themselves a question about what is more important: the idea of you listening to music, or the music itself? personally i prefer the music [editline]15th March 2011[/editline] and if you honestly believe that digital music has removed enthusiasm for music then you must be fucking blind as fuck
I would never buy music digitally because a part of it for me is having something physically in my hands, but I don't think something like iTunes is detrimental to music at all as not everyone enjoys the collection aspect of it. I also feel you get so much more for your money when you buy a CD [editline]15th March 2011[/editline]
His band is named after himself, of course he's a self absorbed asshole. Is he affiliated?
good luck finding bassekou cd's
Just as there are artists that only release digitally there are artists that only have physical releases
Just as there are artists that only release digitally there are artists that only have physical releases
which is why i'll buy cd's or vinyl they are not mutually exclusive
which is why i'll buy cd's or vinyl they are not mutually exclusive
I never said there were I'm just saying that if I have the option I'll go for the cd release each time
hmm there is that box set of bjork shit that comes in 5.1 and then there's that other box set of bjork shit that's like got different versions and remix then there's that other box set where they are pared with a dvd then there's that other box set where you can get all of her live performances then there's that volta box set basically i'm too poor to always buy the physical version (cuz you know i only buy bjork's stuff fuck all other music ya)
Why is it necessary for there to be so many different box sets
MONEY they need money zeke you can't have fifty harpists with choir's ranging in the dozens while making music boxes out of glass and hiring timbaland or matmos and everything else that goes on without making serious bank i mean when you have an indie label that's got both bjork and paul mccartney signed on i'd imagine you'd get a little crazy with the cash flow
i mean when you have an indie label that's got both bjork and paul mccartney signed on i'd imagine you'd get a little crazy with the cash flow
What causes it to still be defined as an indie label
What causes it to still be defined as an indie label
not owned by a corporation or public. one little indian is still like a private company owned by one guy and they license their stuff for distribution which is pretty cool from what i gathered in interview, basically bjork gets to do whatever the fuck she wants and gets backed by it with paper but in return she has to abide by any insane idea that the owner of her label has for albums so if the dude's like "HEY we should make an album consisting of dub-step remixes made from your a capella album" bjork can't say no because that would be a dick move she says or something in short, real bjork fans are broke as fuck
in short, real bjork fans are broke as fuck
but on the plus side they'll soon have dub-step remixes of a capella songs
hm for some reason i have a sick need to see how that would turn out
Shot through the heart, Steve's to blame.
