This is a shitty fucking idea. It seems like YouTube does something supremely stupid daily. I miss classic YouTube. :smith:

What's with all the overreactions? YouTube are not [b]forcing[/b] you to pay to watch [b]any[/b] of the videos on their site. They're giving uploaders the [b]option[/b] to charge fees [b]if they want to[/b]. If you don't want to pay the fee, then don't watch that video. Chances are the videos that will have fees on them are going to be videos you don't want to watch anyways (such as the previously mentioned Fred videos). That being said, [b]anyone[/b] who puts a charge on their videos will see a steep decline in their views. The only ones who could really even [i]afford[/i] to do this would be the insanely popular videos, such as Fred. For anyone less popular to do such a thing would be basically shooting their own foot. That being said, I think it's a good idea. The only people who lose in this deal are the less-than-Fred-popular people who charge a fee and the people who pay the fee. It doesn't even affect anyone else.

This is not going to suck. This basically makes it to where larger corporations can put their videos up, and then just charge people who want to watch them. It's not like every tom, dick, and harry will turn their vlog into a for-profit channel.
