how do you explain old accounts actually needing the correct information to login? [editline]10th May 2013[/editline] either ways, hosted in the u.s., bad, etc.
I hope they bring back the legendary ebook and audiobook collection
I forgot me username...
Also cant remember my account, god damn :(
don't login until we get confirmation it's completely legit (or at least as legit as a torrent site can be), for your own good
kinda wish i'd known how shady it possibly is before i logged in, but oh well, at least my password there is different than my passwords elsewhere
lol it's a honeypot and demonoid sucked dick anyway, everything i wanted was always on tpb with more seeders dunno why everyone is praising its return (even tho it hasn't actually)
I don't know, I'm still wary of the legitimacy of the site. The email I got went straight to the spam folder and the WOT rating of the site is pretty lousy.
goddamnit. Good thing I didn't log in.
First thing I did when I saw the site was log in, but I haven't used the email attached to the site for years and my password there is different than basically everywhere else. So, like... am I safe if this really is a phishing thing like we're being told now? I changed all my passwords anyway just for extra precautions.
Yeah, I'm waiting it out on this one until several trusted sources confirm it's legit.
D2.vu is also an independent effort and not affiliated with the former admins of Demonoid.
So it's basically a fan site. Register/log in at your own risk. Hey, wait a minute..
Through an amazing sequence of unlikely events, the data on those Ukrainian servers has made its way into the safe hands of members of our own community and has now been re-launched as d2.vu

TorrentFreak tested several Demonoid logins, and all of them worked, supporting the claim that D2.vu is using Demonoid’s old database.
So they already have everyone's previous usernames, emails, and passwords. That means the largest phishing threat already happened when they absorbed the data. If you had a demonoid account, all of your account's private information is now in the hands of this shady fan startup. The phishing risk from new accounts seems rather tame compared to that.

Oh my goodness. I missed Demonoid. It was my favourite.
massive honeypot. [editline]10th May 2013[/editline]
So it's basically a fan site. Register/log in at your own risk. Hey, wait a minute..
I heard about the site being shady before this actually which is why I haven't yet logged in with my old account ;)
Uhh they already had your info, you're already at risk.
Ah well, at least my Demonoid account has an email that's been inactive for years, completely fake info and no posts whatsoever.
Uhh they already had your info, you're already at risk.
Granted the old setup isn't completely shit, until you log in the old password hashes should be utterly useless for them.
Just logged in with an old account it works. I'll refrain from using it until it all checks out though.
Granted the old setup isn't completely shit, until you log in the old password hashes should be utterly useless for them.
just click the forgot password button and use a password that you dont use on other sites
i haven't been on that site in awhile, of course i forgot my account info on it.
Everybody moved on to different sites. I see now real reason to get all giddy about it.
If they still have the database, there's stuff in there you won't find anywhere else.
If they still have the database, there's stuff in there you won't find anywhere else.
Just because they have the USER database doesn't mean the actual TORRENT database still exists. Besides, that'd rely on the unlikely possibility that the ones who upload all that hard-to-find content are still interested in demonoid and still have their files.

fuck does anyone have a invitation code?
fuck does anyone have a invitation code?
They're not giving out any until the site is stable, and besides, I'm pretty sure we can't do that on the forums at the risk of being banned.
They're not giving out any until the site is stable, and besides, I'm pretty sure we can't do that on the forums at the risk of being banned.
i dont think you would be b& for just inviting people. its not like being part of a torrent site is the illegal part, the whole doing the torrenting is the illegal part really, the only way to get b& for warez is openly admitting to doing it
good thing i forgot my password and reset it to some random combination of letters and numbers!
I only make an account at places when I really have to.
