In Bangladesh 'train surfing' is a common sight. Young men, line up on the roof of a speeding locomotive and 'surf' the train as it rides through tunnels and under bridges.

The video shows a young man standing up on the roof of the train just as it passes under a steel bridge. The man slams with his head in the bridge and falls off the locomotive.
Video in source, it can be disturbing for some.

This seems like something that would only happen in cartoons.
I do not want to see the aftermath of that.
Nice video
Train surfing..? Doesn't exactly seem like a smart thing to do, really.
Such a waste of young life.
lol the guy at the end of the video looking down at him.
In something like this, the spectators are just as much at fault for encouraging the act (that is, if they were there for that, and not other reasons)
Nevermind, watched the video (not really all that gory BTW). It looks more like an adrenaline junky kind of thing.
It's like he didn't even realize it was coming..he just stood there

heh yeah man that guy got utterly smashed!11 what an idiot
on a more serious case, I think you would be in shock aswell should you witness something like that
Be glad he wasnt decapitated.
ouch

How did you come to this conclusion? The man was on a moving train and there was no way to predict that would have happened. If then, how would you warn him or lecture him in time?
on topic: the guy looked like he had his back turned so he was unable to conceive the danger he was in. as soon as he turned his head and smashed into the railing. I would think he fractured his entire skull and died instantly.
Well, you win some, you lose some.

Yeah, posted after reading but before watching. I thought the reason he did it was to impress a group of peers, but that does not appear to be the case.
He should have trained better.
Didn't see that one coming!
darwin award
reminds me of the civil protection on a rail machinima

A lot of the practices on the railways of Bangladesh, India, etc really scare me.

Same ending.

They are exercising the way to mask a munitions train during war, making it look like a simple crowd of people so planes won't do strafe runs on it.

Technically this is a "sports-related injury"
I have no sympathy for people who die in situations like this. You have a survival instinct for a fucking reason.
Someone in my class in college did this on the C2C Fenchurch Line about 2 years ago.
Dont know how he lived fell of the train sometime after it left the station lost so much blood, so much, head injury, neck injury etc.
Still not sure how he managed it. The C2C trains are so flat there is nothing to cling onto!
In developed countries train surfers are known to employ the use of suction cups.
Still idiotic.
Jesus, it's always the shoes that fly off.
Everybody in that video looked pretty chill...
