Source? Or was it the CBC live network, just opened it.
Think it was confirmed by a few news sources a while ago, not sure though
Why Canada? I mean yes, they participate in the war on terrorism, but come on.. Why not Germany or France or S. Peter square?
Cause Harper declared "war" on them? It makes sense in their eyes to attack us when we are attacking them... This is all assuming it has anything to do with ISIS of course.
Source? Or was it the CBC live network, just opened it.
CBC reported about 50 minutes ago though there's no instructions from CoC yet, at least here Edit
Canadian Forces bases across the country are closed to the public in wake of shooting at Ottawa War Memorial - @CBCAlerts
CTV reports two victims are in stable condition at Ottawa Civic Hospital.
But we don't know if IS is behind this, it could all be just a coincident with the recent events.
Source is saying there is three gunmen with one in custody?
Source is saying there is three gunmen with one in custody?
Supposedly three, at least three seperate shootings (War Memorial, Shopping Centre, Parliament Building) so it can be assumed there are at least three. The one in 'custody' is dead. Was shot in the parliament building.
This will be used to justify police militarization. I'm not claiming any crazy conspiracy stuff or anything; this is an actual attack, likely by IS-aligned people judging from the hit-and-run yesterday. I'm just saying that this incident will be pointed to as a reason why police departments need military-grade weaponry.

Seeing as we currently have a huge counter-terrorism plan being executed at this very moment I believe that we won't have a need for higher militarization of our police forces.
Fuckin' CTV Anchor asking a constable if he knows were the gunman is/are. Like he's going to give you a specific answer.
My college just postponed my midterm and cancelled one of my classes because of this, and it's about 15km out from parliament.
Fuckin' CTV Anchor asking a constable if he knows were the gunman is/are. All they do is sit there and guess at shit and say it like it's fact. Doing a disservice.
Alright brothers to the north, lock and load. Stay safe and find that fucker.
Doubtful, some people might call for it but in the end it won't happen. Not here in Canada.
But the terrorists! Honestly I'm kind of worried, we'll see what happens.
The one solider that was shot has died
Did he say he's sorry before he got shot? (User was banned for this post ("Insensitive reply, was just banned" - Craptasket))
This is a good example of covering a shooting. Didn't give the guy any actual attention, only focused on keeping people safe and the police/military being badass
My college just postponed my midterm and cancelled one of my classes because of this, and it's about 15km out from parliament.
You don't happen to be in Computer Science at Algonquin? Same thing just happened here.
This is a good example of covering a shooting.
CBC News reports that the soldier who was shot at the National War Memorial was a reservist from Hamilton in Ontario.
WHATTTTTTTT. What the fuck, he would probably be from the Argylls..wth dude I parade in the same armoury as these guys..that's fucked
Hopefully you Canadians that post here are all eh-ok.
Coverage says different.
CBC is citing this tweet right now: https://twitter.com/kenneyjason/status/524963481565790208
You don't happen to be in Computer Science at Algonquin? Same thing just happened here.
I do, what a small world.
Do we have names of shooters yet?
Did he say he's sorry before he got shot?
I'm sorry to have read such an insensitive post.
Nobody fucks with the hat, hope all of you Canadian FPers are able to get home tonight safely!
Did he say he's sorry before he got shot?
Now is not the fucking time.
