Now is not the time to be making Canada jokes, just makes you look like an insensitive ass
Yeah how did I know that in a thread about Canada people would bring out the 'ol canuck stereotype jokes

I like dark humor, but those jokes just simply sucked to begin with.
Why the fuck are we making jokes about a nation suffering from (what they've classified) a terrorist attack?
My question is, how the hell did someone manage to get as far as inside the parliament buildings with the intent to shoot the place up?

The shooter shot the guard and he got in.

It's not like there's only one guard between the doors and the caucus meeting chambers. There is no way this guy should have got as far as he did. RCMP on the hill are inept as fuck.
Just a heads up. There are people spreading false news tweets trying to politicize this incident and it's fucking disgusting.

I heard on the radio that the gunman that killed the soldier raised his arms in triumph after doing so

Reported the guy. I'm not a nazi by reporting him but his comments are disrespectful.

Unfortunately, some people find opportunity to push their own agenda in such events. All most of us can do is wait and see. Understanding what happened after the dust settles.
Stay safe.

Are you fucking kidding me.
The man killed in parliament has been identified as Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, who was a muslim.

Victim's name was also released. RIP Cpl. Nathan Cirillo.

Shit, when I heard about this today I didn't think it would hit close to home. The reservist was ID'd as Cpl Nathan Cirillo with the Argyll's Highland unit at my armoury. Looks like we're being asked to stay out of uniform as well so it's civvy clothes for me :v:

A minute of silence for the Cpl. Nathan Cirillo.
He looks like such a swell guy in that pic :(

Not surprising, unfortunately, you even had the one earlier where another one drove his car into two soldiers. Truly sorry for the loss that Canada has to suffer today.
Also, 30 years ago, there was a similar shooting in the parliament.
Well shit.

I hope so.
Actually a pretty damn quick response by Ottawa, still pretty sad that the soldier died.

My deepest apologies everyone, I was just baffled by his choice of words to show his anger. My deepest condolences to those who were affected by such a cowardice act of terrorism. :c
