Oh sorry I'm kinda tired and mixed the two.
My point stands though, as the name isn't really important, what is important is activision's policy on the whole thing.
I actually like that one-hit wonder policy.
It stops them from making bullshit cliffhangers.

I like it too. You can clearly see a lot of effort was put into making Call of Duty 4 a full, unique experience while MW2 and 3 were just basic uninspired follow-ups they didn't intend to make in the first place.
I like all of treyarchs CoD's and the first Modern Warfare. I completed the campaign on regular in MW3 in 3 hours, and that was just playing casual. This years will probably be pretty good, seeing as it's treyarch.
Dont you guys love it when they sell 10 cod games and all of them has same
problems like host migration, you join freeforall and the game is midway done and
no chance of win and all that noobtubes that take no skill to kill. ffs -_____-
They should listen to community a bit.
Since its being, ade by treyarch, please let it be a sequal to WaW. Waw is my favorite cod gamee, I want a sequel be cause hackers ruined waw for me

There's always gonna something to bitch about in a game.
Cod 132342442: Year 2057 or something like that. "INNOVATIONS!"
COD sequels will continue and after 50 years there will be 50 shitty games.
Didn't they like copyright the name Call of Duty: Space Combat a little while ago? :byodood:
Ive consistently enjoyed all Call of Duty games ever since the first one.
Stay mad, facepunch.
That's cool, no one really hates the people who play the games though, just that the games essentially feel recycled.
But it's nice to know you think we care personally about you playing CoD. :3:
What about Call Of Duty with dinosaurs?
Dinosaurs that use laser guns, even?

I'd love that kind on innovation: "Call of Duty: Prehistoric Warfare"

Trying to get some attention I see

Everyone has their own taste.
I dislike the game cause as I say it feels like a recycled game with new maps each time they release it, because of that I've honestly not enjoyed playing it since CoD 4.
I bet the grenade physics in this one will be second to none.
Here at Activision, we focus on you the customer.
For more innovation buy our Call of Duty innovation package with an Xbox 360 for $60
Nope, more to the point that you people demonized the franchise so damn much you actually make it seem worse than it is.
I actually fell for this nonsense back with Modern Warfare 1, 2 and so fourth. But then I bought it during a Steam sale and lo and behold it was neither groundbreaking nor bad - it was a generally good, solid shooter. I honestly still do not understand why you people hate the game so much - hating Activi$ion is whole different matter if the pricing of the game is what bothers you the most.
It's just that your post was basically like a GURL GAMER, only with cod.
You're a CUD GAMER if you will. No one gives a shit that you "play the game" and no one's gonna be "mad" because you play a game everyone seems to hate.
Before trying to sound cool and unique by liking something that is generally frowned upon, try informing yourself on the reasons of that disliking and if what you hear people complain about is really what you think it is, because most people don't even complain about what call of duty is in itself but what it represents.

Generally the call of duty franchise has stopped evolving after 4 honestly. Black Ops brings some variations of what CoD 4 had to offer but that's about it.
Black Ops still had an AI at least several degrees worse than MW2's, and the level design and multiplayer stage design wasn't quite up to par. Treyarch has innovation, they just need to perfect their skills as developers.
Sounds like they need to take a break from Call of Duty and work on something different and then come back to it. Flex their muscles on new IP and truly expand on "Innovation"

Treyarch was pretty good at making spider man games. Spider-Man 1 and 2 on ps2 were very entertaining, especially Spider Man 2 which was huge and had fucktons of content.

Ha! Not according to Facepunch. You're bashed if you like any Call of Duty game after Call of Duty 4, and you're fine if you like the Battlefield games. It's fucking sad to see this everywhere on Facepunch, it's either or.

Or maybe
And I'm just throwing this out here, but.
Maybe those peoples are just outspoken assholes?

True that's a maybe, but for the most time I see people who are pretty chill in general get bashed on the second they mention Call of Duty/say they like it, etc.

What you mean like the chill guy who posted up at the top of this page and straight away had a go at me for my opinion on CoD?
There's guilty folk on both sides so the solution is simple, don't be a douche bag about it and most folk will extend you the same courtesy.

Uh no I never said I did.
But yes, you are right, there is guilty people on both sides - Except what I said is just from my own observations and what I have seen when lurking around on Facepunch
And I gave my opinion from my experiences from what I've seen on facepunch, from friends and from just about everywhere there's been CoD discussion, that's all.
[editline]12th February 2012[/editline]
And I was using the guy at the top of the page as an example that folk are guilty on both sides whereas you said:

Uh, not necessarily aimed at you because I don't recognize you, but there are quite a few people who go into every CoD thread and slam out angry posts because a video game they don't like is really successful and a lot of people like it.
So yeah there are plenty of people who personally care what video game random FPer's enjoy.

Actually the only assholes I've seen in this thread are the people getting mad at video games. It's basically
"I like Call of Duty because it's a fun game, but I do realize that it's mostly an opinion-based thing and if you don't have fun with it that's cool too!"
vs
"FUCKING COD PLAYERS ARE IDIOTS SPENDING THEIR MONEY ON THINGS THEY LIKE THEY SHOULD BE MORE LIKE ME A REAL GAMER"
With a good mix of armchair game critic/commentator from the people who think they know how businesses and sales trends work but are really talking out their ass.
I'm fine with a new one coming out
Whenever I go to internet cafes with my friends we always play COD5/MW3 zombies lan and we have a great time.
Also MW1 and MW2 are still reasonably fun to play. Especially MW1. I might start playing it again
Remember Dino D-Day
it was pretty horrible.
Your forgetting that two different companies made those games.
CoD3, WaW, BlOps = Treyarch (decent games)
MW1, 2, and 3 = Infinity Ward (bullshit)
Are you kidding me. I mean, MW1 is the only good game out of those six but are you seriously going to make a distinction between the developer that actually made the series and the developer that has never had an original idea for a game since they started and THEN call them decent??
