New CoD confirmed, Activision claims it will be "Full Of Innovation"

I'm still interested in seeing what there's in store this year even if it's just of the same with a few new things added.
I enjoy how the game flows on the engine they use and playing in it in general, so always nice with a new story/multiplayer gameplay.
Activision isn't the problem here though. Like any normal company, they keep milking the product as long as it sells. It's the idiots who keep paying $60 for a map pack every year that keeps this shit going.
Yeah, I know, that's the whole purpose of being in the game industry. Making money. But the least they could do is give their gamers and developers chance to recuperate from the latest title, without having to announce a new one is coming almost immediately.
There should always be at least a standard year before you announce a new game in the series, not four or five months after the current release. It gives the gamers more time to enjoy the current title, and it's also easier on the developers themselves because they don't have to work on the newer title in such short notice, and pump out of another title in the series in such a short period of time. I imagine the more time a developer is given time to work on a game, the better potential it has to be (Not always though).
You do realize they have rotating teams, right? Each team has around two years to make their game, and that's pretty much the standard development time in the industry if you're not making an engine from scratch.
The original CoD and CoD2 are still the best in the series.
They will add like a few guns, skins, and a few perks along with a short as shit story.
Woo
Even though this never happened, yeah okay, it's suddenly going to happen.
It's great because MW3 has barely been out for 4 months.
This has nothing to do with MW3 or the developer.

What game are you playing that has 60$ for a map pack?
I bet the innovation will be adding vehicles... And conquest modes and... wait a second... They are making Call of Duty: Battlefield next!
Conquest and Vehicles weren't coined by the battlefield series.
black ops had a great story
Mass Effect had a great story, Black Ops did not.
The original CoD and CoD2 are still the best in the series.
Big Red One was the best in my opinion
Any real information out yet?
Good. I used to like CoD games, loved Black Ops, but never could get into MW3. Think I'm just getting bored of the series. Hopefully they do do something crazy and new this year.
How about making it WWI?
That's unexplored territory.
Because in WW1 British soldiers weren't even allowed to run, who along with poorly organised Russians, done most of the fighting. Planes were only used for reconnaissance and tanks were called land-ships, and we also still used cavalry.
Sure as fuck would make for a game with variety.
Back onto the series though knowing Treyarch always exploring the more forgotten conflicts we can only guess what they might try. If they want to try again with all the conspiracy shit again I'm thinking they may touch on The Troubles in Northern Ireland.
Oh activision, you joker you!
They are going to make a game discovering of america and war between native americans/indians..
Can we please have a game where you don't have to kill Russians?
Please have 4-player campaign co-op. That would be the main selling point for me.
That would be the only selling point because everything else is the same shit

You realise that the recent COD games are just Map Packs disguised as a new game.

Good one!
This announcement makes sense with Activisions latest shenanigans.
They're hiring senior programmers. Who must have past experience with 'Ctrl C' and 'Ctrl V'
Edit:
Bah darn it Chekko ninja'd me with that joke.
It better be.
Should have stopped at mw1.
Mass Effect had a great story, Black Ops did not.
How the fuck did you come to that conclusion? What does mass effect have to do with anything?
You realise that the recent COD games are just Map Packs disguised as a new game.
Uhh, not at all. Where do you get that idea? I didn't know a new... well, everything was a "map pack". You've obviously never even played the game.
Mass Effect had a great story, Black Ops did not.
what didn't you like about black ops' story?
Future Warfare anyone?
Activision isn't the problem here though. Like any normal company, they keep milking the product as long as it sells. It's the idiots who keep paying $60 for a map pack every year that keeps this shit going.
Hey now! It's not just a map pack, there are also zombie maps. I'm trying to justify my purchase, after all...
I'll tell you what activision needs LAZERS
Cyborg with cold-war era experimental weapons and giant sky-battleships please.
Space lasers would be nice, too.
More space shit in general, actually.
I'll tell you what activision needs LAZERS
Been there, done that. CoD4? MW2? MW3? Laser sights?
I had a blast playing the previous CoDs, especially WaW. I'm going to have faith in Activision because I'm curious about what they will do, if it will have any major changes like CoD4 had from CoD3. It's certainly a nice game, but they just don't change it. That's what they need to fix first.
what didn't you like about black ops' story?
imo the whole idea of playing in flashbacks is horrible. Also didn't like the whole 'omg the numbers!!!!!' thing.
I liked modern warfare 2 more than black ops. It had this whole bullshit story behind it but I enjoyed playing it
if it's a Treyarch title then the plot will probably be much more respectable and i'll probably throw my money towards it to enjoy the singleplayer plot and just occassionally have fun in multiplayer with mindless, enjoyable action

could you be more specific?
i don't really understand why playing in flashbacks in particular is horrible or what you didn't like about the number codes.
was it because they were so incessantly repeated? i can see how their use would irk someone, but it is justified in regard to the story.
