New CoD confirmed, Activision claims it will be "Full Of Innovation"

I'll respect the series when there's persistent health, this regenerating health stuff makes the game uninteresting.
Here's an idea, how about there are Squad-based game modes with specific objectives and the like and there are larger scale game modes on larger maps that deal with broader objectives.
In a thin way, there are points in MW3 where this happens.
For example, landing in Germany, the street battle and following the tank columns are huge.

Every single game does this now. I didn't see regeneration until CoD started to do it in all honesty. Call of Duty use to have health bars.
They will add like a few guns, skins, and a few perks along with a short as shit story.
Woo
Don't forget that they'll remove a few things that players actually love just to re-add it in a later DLC.

I will pay you money if you tell me when this has happened.
Liiiiiiiiiiike? How about some examples?
Don't answer "how can they improve it" with "Improvements"
How about make a campaign where you actually have control over the game, rather than it simply making you go from shooting gallery to shooting gallery connected by bombastic scripted sequences. Give the player multiple ways to tackle an engagement. Let the player actually lead, rather than having to follow the NPC's who seem to be having all the real fun.
And actually let the player open doors.

And it should have them again. Regenerating health makes it crazy easy and I'm tried of seeing it in games.
I'm defending it because it's geniuenly a good game series that receives a shitstorm of hate just because it's popular.
Frankly, the majority of these posts are hating it just to hate it. As I have shown more reasons why the hate is unwarranted then ANYONE in this thread has shown the opposite.
You seem to be giving yourself a bit too much credit.
It's definitely vehicles.
Look at their new Goldeneye and their experimentation of it

That's just your opinion.

I keep asking people to prove claims like "map packs cost 60 dollars" "DLC is all removed content that you have to pay for" and "CoD is a map pack with absolutely nothing new" and I've got nothing.

Being linear isn't always a bad thing, most FPS' are linear. You do have linear choices in CoD, like during the stealth missions for example.
And you can open doors in the SP.
uh no, that wasn't my point at all. How the hell did you manage to mistake that? He was saying how they don't make improvements. I was asking him what improvements are there to be made that aren't already being made.
Isn't it fucking obvious how that game is 5 years behind everything else and every single element is painfully rehashed ?
Their team knows that, and even if they did want to change something slighty meaningful, the answer would be "No", that's the point. It costs money. And yet they wouldn't change it even with the huge profit.

Whoa, fucking revolutionary.

And a lot of your "points" were opinions too, you were going on earlier about how great and likable the characters are and I'm sure that's your opinion but a lot of people disagree
Stop acting as if you're posting cold hard facts when yours are coated in bias as much as any of us
Call of Duty 9001: Mexican Border Wars.

from what I see, a lot of people agree. And that's good, that means there is discourse. So you and I can't make it one way or another.
Stop acting as if you're posting cold hard facts when yours are coated in bias as much as any of us
Show me where people refuted those points I brought up.

Give me an example of how it's either.

Okay, million dollar question: where does this happen. I'm getting really tired of asking this.
Whoa, fucking revolutionary.
whoa, you can't read.
Why is Facepunch full of anti-CoD bandwagoners?
The only arguments I seem to be getting is "THE GAME SUCKS AND I HATE IT AND IT'S ALL OLD STUFF"
"HOW?" "I'M NOT TELLING YOU! BECAUSE IT IS"

Bandwagoners.

Engine
Theme
Story
Gunplay
That's the "old stuff", story is a bit of "old stuff", mostly "sucky stuff" but there it is anyways.
If they bothered to update the engine with the huge amounts of money they make, i would respect the series 30 times more, not kidding. Maybe even tell it doesn't suck, with JUST that.
Okay, million dollar question: where does this happen. I'm getting really tired of asking this.
God... can you even read ?
CoD2 4 lyfe
"Full of innovation" = New and improved ways to fuck the series until it bleeds.

Gunplay, story and theme are all your opinion.
As for engine, yeah, it could use an update. but it's not as archaic and outdated as you make it out to be

It is
and gunplay could be updated, themes could be swapped around each year.
If you compare it to games that do it right (at least up untill now), like TES and BF3 (I know...), they changed drastically, yet the essence is the same, Skyrim is TES and BF3 is battlefield. I don't see how they can't do the same for COD, evolve the game instead of keeping it the fucking same.
COD is absolutely changing with each iteration. It's drifting towards effectively being quake with a military skin and killstreaks for fancy feedback. If you've played more than a few minutes of each game it's fairly obvious. Prepare to hate it more as it becomes less realistic, battlefield fans.

So by Call of duty:Future warfare 10:Alien Wars it will cease to suck ? I'll be waiting for that.
And oh wow, hahaha, no, Battlefield was never and never will be realistic, compared to COD it's just slighty more accurate.

Why do people always bring Battlefield when it comes to a Call of Duty argument, leave the fans and the damn game alone. Goes for both side.

Thank you for admitting that Battlefield is more realistic than CoD.
Thank you for admitting that Battlefield is more realistic than CoD.
Who was retarded enough to say it wasn't?
CoD is (at the very nicest summary) an arcade style shooter while Battlefield is a more realistic game, but Battlefield in general (and I'm aiming this mostly at Battlefield 3) is far from being very realistic itself
I just find it annoying when reviewers call Battlefield 3 "the most realistic game ever."

Nowhere in that quote did I complain that it was linear. Some great shooters like Halo and Half Life 2 are linear. The difference is that you still have control over the action in both of them. You have choices over what you can do. Like you just said there are "stealth missions" well why can't I be stealth whenever I want? Why can't I carry a suppressed pistol and sneak through levels? Why doesn't CoD let me keep the sniper rifle they give me in the sniper level, so I can use it in other parts of the level?
The biggest differences are that while other shooters have combat engagements, cod has shooting galleries. In Halo 1, there were open areas that you could move around to attack opponents from different directions. And if you wanted you could keep the rocket launcher you picked up earlier and use it whenever you wanted. You fought enemies the way YOU wanted to, not the way the game wanted you to.
BF3 isn't realistic, but good graphics combined with amazing sounds makes it really authentic and shows amazing atmosphere. Probably why most people think it's realistic.
BF3 isn't realistic, but good graphics combined with amazing sounds makes it really authentic and shows amazing atmosphere. Probably why most people think it's realistic.
or maybe it's because the average gamer has this insane idea that games like CoD and Battlefield are realistic
first step to a realistic shooter: remove most if not all fully automatic weapons
It's very rare for a soldier to fire his weapon in anything but semi-automatic or burst fire
second step: making sniping hard, there are some games where sniping is not some piss easy "aim in general direction with scope and shoot"
But wait, these fun and challenging additions would for some reason make the game "bad" to others
I laughed, I'll admit.
Their words will mean fuck all until I actually see it.
