The speed test plague has come, RIP thread.
Also, Sweden has had 1 GB/s internet since 1999 IIRC, kind of sad the states are still so far behind.
it's about $75 for 25 megabit/s in Northern Virginia.
it's a dick. at one point, we heard a boom outside, lights flickered, my friends mom yelled "WHY TV NO WORK" and all internet died for a good 14 hours. it was great. I read a book!
now the internet only goes out if my friend messes with the wi-fi. the fucker flashed its OS and caused it to "not work" for a long ass time. "hit the reset" "you don't know what you're talking about" 3 hours of this shit, hearing him bitch about how its the routers fault that he failed. I hit the reset button and it fixed it!

10 MB/s for $54 dollars a month, i wish we have more choices.
I want better and cheaper internet here in kentucky...
Why are the internet speeds in your countries so low with those insane prices? Here in Sweden, internet speeds are high and cheap. I guess it because it's a small country.
Some of it has to do with infastructure. After all, many rural areas don't have access to true broadband yet. But a lot of it has to do with virtual monopolies, lack of government oversight, and customer apathy. However, its I don't blame people completely. When your choice is shitty expensive DSL or no internet, what are you going to do? I guess run to the store and buy a dial-up modem I suppose.

At the time of writing, I am paying about US$93/month for this.
(Not american, so have to convert)
Before I moved I used to have a 10mb, it was about US$145/month. Current area doesn't have infrastructure :(
I hate, hate connection speeds in America. My family pays out the ass for a 5mb connection, that actually sits around 4mb, and that's considered fast. All the while the rest of the world sees 15-20mb as low. Shit sucks :(
