So you are saying that if they are LGBT they cant stand up for themselves? really? Those are the ones that just 'give up' everyone is turning into a fucking pussy and it doesn't matter if you are gay straight bi whatever you still have the strength to persevere. "im going to kill myself because people are calling me a fag" WELL DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT YOU FAGGOT
I dont see why cyber bullying is its own thing, I mean its just a new media for bullying it isnt really separate from regular bullying, just a different and more convenient way to do it
Cyberbulling is an extension of normal bullying.
Essentially the people who bully during school are able to further do so through facebook, myspace, etc.
The article brought up online games.
So you are saying that if they are LGBT they cant stand up for themselves?
it's a state of mind, severe depression, and, because teachers totally give a shit about bullying, right?
a lot of the time they'll just say "Just ignore him" and walk off after separating you
now you ask your principle
a lot of the time they'll just say "Just ignore him" and walk off after giving detention
now you ask your parents
a lot of the time they'll just say "Just ignore him" and walk off after telling the school
now what do you do?
Now they physically try and harm you so you defend yourself, but YOU get in trouble and it feels everyone is ignoring you
you think maybe you just are a useless human being
you have no way of fighting back and now they won't stop, you just can't end it, maybe something is wrong with you?
then they start having the suicidal thoughts. "Maybe I should just kill myself"
I'm so happy I never had to deal with that kind of strain. That is not fun.
this thread his headed down the shitter, I can tell. CYA
I get cyber bill regularly. He is a bit problem and u should get that looked at.

thats impossible, no one is born messed up unless they have a congenital mental disorder
if they have mental disorders then they it must be expressed in their family history
the nerds deserve it

Figure something out? Its there prerogative if they want to be happy or not. You are totally right about people just being fucked up though its really true. I found with bullies they just want to get something out of it like it makes them feel better about themselves. If you don't give them the joy then they will stop and move on.
Ive never understood cyber bullying... theres a off-switch and close button... use it?

it's a problem when real life bullies bully online, or it's a pack of people making fun of you / one constantly uses proxies to stalk and harass you
but when it comes down to anything else, if you're seriously effected by 1 guy being a dick, you shouldn't even be on the internet
if I tell you over to "shut your fucking mouth you fat cunt" you can just ignore me and report me and oh wow problem solved
but if I did that and used proxies and alts as well as on OTHER sides it'd get serious but MOST people can ignore those word pixels. if you don't say anything they'll get bored and stop.

Some people just become assholes based on their experiences.

Yeah.
You are.
Some people just become assholes based on their experiences.
some people are mean because they're sociopaths but not a full fledged "I'm going to kill a person" sociopath. they just have no empathy and want want want.
Like I said, some people are just assholes, and that's the end.
They can still spread rumors, find compromising stuff on you, or impersonate people.
I really don't understand how young teenagers get themselves tangled into these situations, maybe Im just clueless but it isn't that hard to be on good terms with basically everyone as long as you're a decent person.
If you carry yourself with a revolting attitude like "those filthy popular kids will never understand" people are going to see right through you and their reaction is going to be exactly what you'd expect it to be. Not to blame the victim I just never understood how this shit happens, seeing as how it has never happened to me or anyone Ive ever heard or known of.

Well surely if you block them ect on FB or whatever, they cant cyber bully you, meaning that your save on you'r computer... not totally unbullyed, but still on the way there...

And then they spread rumors about you to your friends and family.
All your friends now hate you and your family thinks you're a freak.
Should people who experience this kind (or similar) scenario just "suck it up"?

I never said that, but at the least, its on the way there... if your family is going to believe some random guy who says he goes to the same school as you online.... well. thats a shitty family...
if your friends are going to belive rumors.. shitty friends...
Sure, we should find some way to deal with cyber bullys... but how do we deal with them, whats the 'resonable' limit
I never said that, but at the least, its on the way there... if your family is going to believe some random guy who says he goes to the same school as you online.... well. thats a shitty family...

These aren't random people, these are people you know, groups of people you know, etc.
Yeah maybe the friends and families who believe rumors should think a couple more times before they judge someone, but then again maybe people who read articles about people who commit suicide because of bullying should too (point is there's a lot of things people should do, that doesn't mean you're gonna get people to do it)?
What I'm arguing against (or rather trying to explain) is when you said:
Ive never understood cyber bullying... theres a off-switch and close button... use it?
And why it doesn't work. (And why the responsibility shouldn't lie with the bullied to avoid it, but the bully to stop fucking bullying)
The blame doesn't lie with the friends, nor the families, nor the bullied. It lies with the bully (always).

Yes, i agree with you, biggest problem is... how the hell do you take somthing that seems to be ingrained into human nature?
Yes, i agree with you, biggest problem is... how the hell do you take somthing that seems to be ingrained into human nature?
You start by not blaming the victims, taking the problem seriously, and then you work on it. (By educating kids, parents, and so on. I'm not an expert in what works best, but people who are working on it do actually exist you know.)
It's not gonna go over one fucking night, one year or maybe even while we live, but it's never gonna happen if people keep on ignoring it while other people put the blame in the wrong place.

Yet another reason not to use those websites, as if one was necessary.
