Keanu Reeves confirmed to be Dorian Grey.
I'm okay with that
i agree, i was pretty unimpressed to hear they're making a remake of jacobs ladder (the best movie i've ever seen) i just don't see the point in remakes. just come up with a new idea you lazy pricks
New ideas are becoming exceedingly difficult to not only come up with, but also see financial success.
Keanu Reeves confirmed to be Dorian Grey.
I'm eering on him being the cause of the big bang. He's a being that has been with us since the start of time (it seems), doesn't age, doesn't make a big show of himself (outside of the acting thing I guess). He was sent to watch this universe, to protect it. Now, what is his true form?

It's because he's partly asian (he's really part Chinese)
A little off-topic, but I'm still so bitter about the fact that they never made a live action Cowboy Bebop movie starring Keanu Reeves. It would've been absolutely amazing. I've never seen an actor who fits a character so perfectly, especially after he showcased his martial arts prowess in The Matrix, this movie would've been right on his alley. Yeah expect Keanu Reeves has only two acting modes : stone-cold serious and pants-shittingly retarded.
I think the only way a remake of an undisputed masterpiece would be acceptable is if it didn't share the same name, didn't tout that it was a remake of said masterpiece and only shared the story. There are exceptions to this (The Thing, The Fly, Invasion of the Body Snatchers) but none of the originals could really be described as "masterpieces". I'd argue that something more along the lines of 2001: A Space Odyssey should be regarded as untouchable rather than Apocalypse Now. The story of Apocalypse Now is robust enough that it could be creatively told in many different ways. A film like Outland, though mediocre, is a good example of this as a well made remake of the critically acclaimed and influencial High Noon.
Apocalypse now was funnily enough a sort of remake of another film. It's a bit reminiscent of a Werner Herzog film.
Francis Ford Coppola's 1979 film Apocalypse Now, a film based on Joseph Conrad's 1902 novella Heart of Darkness, was influenced also by Aguirre, as it contains seemingly deliberate visual "quotations" of Herzog's film. Coppola himself has noted, "Aguirre, with its incredible imagery, was a very strong influence. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention it.
I still want that new Bill and Ted.
Yeah expect Keanu Reeves has only two acting modes : stone-cold serious and pants-shittingly retarded.
he's pretty good in The Lakehouse
He's in a lot of crap now. Shorts and music videos and such. Guy looks silly but he's a good marketing face for makeup and such. Dermablend had a really good campaign with him.
oh god what is he doing
Apocalypse now was funnily enough a sort of remake of another film. It's a bit reminiscent of a Werner Herzog film.
But it's not a remake of it at all. As mentioned above Apocalypse Now was based at it's core on Conrad's Heart Of Darkness, but interprets it in a drastically different and contemporary way to a point where it really isn't just a movie adaptation of the novella but instead something completely different and new. If someone right now were to make a movie based on Heart Of Darkness it wouldn't be a 'remake' of Apocalypse Now unless they also made it take place during the vietnam war on a PT boat.
If they ever remade Apocalypse Now I would probably shoot myself. the redux is the absolute pinnacle of war film.
hasn't he almost entirely retired though... I haven't seen him on anything in a long time I just hope he doesn't come back in like the expendables 3 and someone makes a joke like "what are you the one?" like they did with chuck nor is jokes in the last one
florp
goddamit why did i laugh so hard
I am gonna guess a christmas story 3 is being made or not ugh... They made a 2nd film of a christmas tory that's shit and a sequel I am not lying go look it up.
Has anyone mentioned that he might make a good batman
i dunno i think he looks kinda like a bumfighter who used the money to buy a suit.
Why is Keanu so damn likeable? His movies might be shit but dammit if I don't sit through it to see what he's up to.
Why is Keanu so damn likeable? His movies might be shit but dammit if I don't sit through it to see what he's up to.
His documentary on film is really interesting
Yeah expect Keanu Reeves has only two acting modes : stone-cold serious and pants-shittingly retarded.
There's two types of people who star in movies. Actors and Movie-Stars. Keanu is a great movie star, but not the best Actor.
