because religion pretty much ruined the USA and until it's removed from politics completely it's gonna keep on doing it

Because we shouldn't give religion the opportunity to taint politics

Wow what the fuck?
Despite the chair desperately trying ram the amendment it, there was no way there was a 2/3rds majority of people saying "I"
Even the speaker tried so hard to emphasize "I" like "All those in favor.... SAY I!!!!!!" whilst on contrary for no "[SUB]allthoseagainstsayno[/SUB]"
Oh AIPAC.
what the fuck
so whoever yells the loudest wins? Umm...
99% is a better guess and that's still a low ball.
Well, when it comes to American politics you either vote for democrats or theocrats, that both happen to be corporate whores....
It's really about voting for the lesser evil.

Don't deny it, god's very important and very real to the majority of americans and will continue to affect the politics there for a long time.

I wish the majority of americans would acknowledge that god has no place in government.

I'm tired of subjective truths being equated with objective truths when considering public policy or education. You can't cite your "beliefs" as a reason for forcing other people to do something or restricting their rights, especially when you're wrong, and it drives me crazy that we tolerate it at the federal level.

No but you can cite Separation of Church and state.
I think most of Facepunch claims to be democrat because the majority of users are probably under 18 and are easily persuaded by the vast majority of democrats already online not to mention the media who is overwhelmingly liberal. They see all these biased (Except for glaber's) posts so why wouldn't a 13 year old who has never taken a course in poly sci or simple American government fall in line with liberal ideas? Even though most of them don't know how to form ideas for themselves and just spew out words that they have read before.
I'm all for us having our own opinion but it sucks when people are so one sided.
These posts make me wish there were more Republicans like me on Facepunch. It's a lonely party on this side of the internet.

yep we're brainwashed you got us
also lol, the media is overwhelmingly liberal? fox news anyone? glenn beck?
maybe if you watch a lot of liberal news then the news is overwhelmingly liberal
american news only looks liberal in relation to fox news.

Except you're not really Republican if you're not like the other Republicans who are by their nature true to the platform.

That paragraph was just you basically admitting you have no idea what you're talking about.
Isn't like 95% of facepunch Democrat?

Isn't like 95% of facepunch Democrat?
(joke) no obv. they're all militant atheists with twisted views of socialism who will live to be 100 obviously (joke)

How does that give anyone the right to justify infringing the rights of others?
Your right to your beliefs does not trump someone else's civil rights, nor does it trump access to healthcare or general health, especially when your beliefs are scientifically inaccurate.

You aren't honestly implying that baldy's posts are free of bias are you?
Also, if your school districts let kids go through school until they are 13 without a poly sci or american government course there's something wrong.

Reality isn't a matter of opinion, kid.

How exactly is it infringe other peoples rights?
I still don't understand why they have that dumb cheer system like we're on a game show or something
This is such bullshit; at minimum 50% of those people voted no all 3 times.

I'm pretty sure that our party is alone pretty much everywhere on the internet. A large portion of us aren't as noisy. :v:

Specifically why I don't typically get into political arguments on facepunch; I just ask people their opinions (like in that one thread I did). It would be beating against castle walls with a twig. The more you do it, the more of an ass you look like. Besides, arguments here are (mostly) pointless, and won't get anything solved because no one is going to back away from their opinions. The voting booth is where it matters.

I hate how this shit happens.
In Michigan, the house has been using similar tactics to pass all their bills.
Isn't like 95% of facepunch Democrat?
dont forget the third stance, aka completely loathing the political system in the US along with both parties.
that must be at least 10%. Or if not i count for at least 9%
Democrats have no spine. If Republicans criticize you for not having enough evangelical/pro-Israel groveling, the proper response is NOT to say "Sorry, we'll fix that right away please don't say mean things anymore". The proper response is to say "Fuck you, you're the theocratic party in this country and we don't think Palestinians deserve to be treated like this."
Does the GOP change their platform when you complain about them wanting to end Medicare? Fuck no.
I feel like it's more because the democrats already have a hard enough time getting the evangelical vote, and doing something like this in election season will not be good for the party.
I dont support democrats or republicans as both are incredibly conservative... I dont teally have a say since I live in Norway, but I do find it funny how your "liberal" side is more conservative than the moat conservative party in Norway.
