Wow, you're a smart one. What makes you think the UN's solution would work? Actually don't bother answering this. Also, why don't you make a useful reply rather than some stupid comment not pertinent to the topic...
How about the latter part of my post huh? There is no reason they could not shove it in someplace where there is no one living there already.
Love Jews, hate Israel.
"the religious Shas party now account for about one-third of the ruling coalition's seats in the parliament, or Knesset, and have emerged as key players in advocating a conservative agenda in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition government." That is incorrect. Currently, Shas has only 11 members from its party in the parliament, and considering the fact that you need at least 61 members for a coalition in the Knesset (there are 120 members total in the Israeli Parliament), the maximum percentage they can reach in any coalition is 16.67%. Also, about the so called "rabbinical prohibitions"- Just to let you know, a study made sometime around 2008 revealed that 51% of all Israeli Jews are secular, 30% traditional (not extremists), 10% Orthodox (More religious than the traditional group; Lean towards extremism), and 9% haredi (hardcore religious-extremists). Those rabbinical prohibitions are only taken seriously by all of the 9% that are haredi and some of the 10% that are Orthodox. I can't seem to find that study on the web, but I have seen it before. I even wrote down the figures, it's still on my computer.
As of 2008 eh? Politics don't exactly stay the same for 3 years straight, and I copied that from the fucking article to prove a point. Whether or not the article is factually correct is something you can circle jerk with the author about. Ohadje claimed the article wasn't talking about religious groups, I proved him wrong by quoting the article, and then you rated me dumb and came up with some bullshit statistics from 3 years ago because of something the article said, not I. Also, you're not fooling anyone Ohadje. Using three accounts because you don't know how to argue.
How about the latter part of my post huh? There is no reason they could not shove it in someplace where there is no one living there already.
You would not find any place in the world where it wouldn't upset people. Why do I need to explain this to people?
Ohadje claimed the article wasn't talking about religious groups
No, I wasn't saying that. I was saying that the dislike towards ultra-orthodox Jews, as described in the article, exists in all of the Israeli society spectrum. Thus, your original analogy was incorrect.
Also, you're not fooling anyone Ohadje. Three accounts, who even plays that rating game anymore.
lol. You may ask a mod to check whether Glorbo, thaard and I are the same person...
No, I wasn't saying that. I was saying that the dislike towards ultra-orthodox Jews, as described in the article, exists in all of the Israeli society spectrum. Thus, your original analogy was incorrect.
Yeah bullshit. Your post is a few clicks up, don't backpedal. You also just used three different fucking accounts to disagree with me. You're 100% wrong and you know it.
Yeah bullshit. Your post is a few clicks up, don't backpedal. You also just used three different fucking accounts to disagree with me. You're 100% wrong and you know it.
No... that's not what I said. It isn't my fault you can't comprehend simple sentences made in plain English. Also, your accusation is false, but it really amuses me. So.. just to end this once and for all:
A recent Israel Democracy Institute poll found nearly half of Jewish Israelis[...] and nearly one in four said they wouldn't want to share a street with gays or the ultra-Orthodox.

Is this referring to orthodox Jews or Eastern Orthodox Christians?

Orthodox Jews, because modern day Isreal breaks a lot of rules that the ultra-Orthodox believe in. I don't want to invoke Godwin's law over something that's the complete opposite, but since it's already been done in this thread, it would be the equivalent of average nazi citizens hating ultra-nazi citizens. Kind of hypocritical if you ask me.
And I simply pointed out this analogy is bad because the poll refers to the Jewish Israeli society, of all sorts of beliefs: Atheist, Agnostic, Deist, Traditional (very slightly observant), Orthodox Jews etc'.
State one good thing Muslim countries done the last century. :smug:
Look at how far the entire middle east (with the exception of a few countries) has come in the last 100 years in terms of human rights and technological advancement. Pretty damned good for a region that's constantly under siege in one way or another.
And I simply pointed out this analogy is bad because the poll refers to the Jewish Israeli society, of all sorts of beliefs: Atheist, Agnostic, Deist, Traditional (very slightly observant), Orthodox Jews etc'.
And I'm referring to how moderate Jews absolutely hate the ultra-Orthodox, which is something the article talked about. If other parts of the article are in reference to anything but the religious majority, that's an entirely different matter which goes beyond what I was talking about. That's literally all.
And I'm referring to how moderate Jews absolutely hate the ultra-Orthodox, which is something the article talked about.
And I'm referring to how moderate Jews absolutely hate the ultra-Orthodox, which is something the article talked about.
Moderate Jews, Atheist Jews, everyone else too. Everyone except religious Jews hate Religious Jews.
My uncle is an Ultra Orthodox Jew.
Look at how far the entire middle east (with the exception of a few countries) has come in the last 100 years in terms of human rights and technological advancement. Pretty damned good for a region that's constantly under siege in one way or another.
You mean our human rights and technological advancement. After all they are completely dependent on our technology. Take the IED for example, the explosives, digital watch / cellphone, the tools, the electricity to power the tools, a computer to put the bombing on the internet, the camera they recorded it with, the microphones that recorded the chanting that goes along with the video. The software that put the watermark on the video even the light bulb in the room. It's all our technology.
My uncle is an Ultra Orthodox Jew.
So he got a black hat, cool beard and everything else that comes with it? Awesome.
Sorry but it is right. Or better yet why don't you stick a jewish state somewhere where it won't bother or uproot people like Africa, Australia or Siberia.
Madagascar :godwin:
So he got a black hat, cool beard and everything else that comes with it? Awesome.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Cool, mine too. In fact almost all of my mother's side of my family is, and most of them know Italian too. Yeah, I know, it's weird.
Try and get citizenship or buy a house in Saudi Arabia without being muslim; you fucking can't. Try and even enter Mecca or Medina; you fucking can't. Why not bloo bloo over this instead of Israel? Why bloo bloo at all if both races are doing it?
Start comparing the two when Saudi calls itself a democracy, equal nation. Thanks
Start hating Israel when the bombing and terrorism against them stop. Thanks
Start hating Israel when the bombing and terrorism against them stop. Thanks
Being bombed and terrorized (Israel is hardly bombed nor terrorized anymore) does not nullify condemnation for Israel's atrocities. [editline]25th January 2011[/editline] Nor does it give Israel the right to disregard human rights. In spite of that, what you said has nothing to do with what I said.
Being bombed and terrorized (Israel is hardly bombed nor terrorized anymore) does not nullify condemnation for Israel's atrocities.
Which is obviously due to their harsh response.
Which is obviously due to their harsh response.
Lets just sit on our ass and do nothing when geting bombed and terroristed, let ships pass through even though supplies might get in the hands of terrorists. Israel does what any other country would had done under the same circumstances. Israel does what any other country would had done under the same circumstances.
I love how you attempt to justify whatever Israel does by asking if they should’ve of just sat on their asses. “We’re going to bulldoze 10 Palestinian homes today – what, do you expect us to do nothing while getting bombed, terrorized and aid being sent to our Gazan civilians?!”
Well you protected Saudi Arabia due their lack of Democracy, thats just scary. You know what i meant with my post.
Protected Saudi? No, he was comparing Israel to Saudi. That’s like whining about why everyone is bitching about how the United States treats Guantanamo detainees, while there are nations in Africa that advocate genocide. Saudi does not purport to be a civilized democratic nation.
As of 2008 eh? Politics don't exactly stay the same for 3 years straight, and I copied that from the fucking article to prove a point. Also, you're not fooling anyone Ohadje. Using three accounts because you don't know how to argue.
First of all, Politics don't really stay the same for 3 years straight, but that doesn't mean that parliament seats can suddenly magically increase. These "statistics" are from the website of the Knesset itself. They detail the amount of seats that the party had received across the years in the parliament. The members of the parliament were elected in 2008, are serving until 2012 (the next elections), and there are only 11 of them- And again, even in a coalition with the lowest amount of members (61) Shas would only amount to about 16.67% of the coalition. That's not bullshit, that's just common sense. Here is the part you conviently (or foolishly) left out of your post- "Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman's Yisrael Beiteinu party AND the religious Shas party now account for about one-third of the ruling coalition's seats in the parliament" Also, look at the registration dates. I was registered way before ohadje was, 2 months before he registered actually. Stop being so paranoid, just because people have a different mindset than you doesn't mean they're all the same guy.
You would not find any place in the world where it wouldn't upset people. Why do I need to explain this to people?
Empty place in Siberia,, middle of Australia. Sure there could be like what 100 people there but at least your not displace a whole country.
Fucking Israelis.
My dad is Israeli you prick.
Empty place in Siberia,, middle of Australia. Sure there could be like what 100 people there but at least your not displace a whole country.
People like you always forget that by the 40's there were many thousands of Jews in the British Mandate of Palestine, some of their families have lived there for about 60 years, building the country, draining swamps, building roads, turning deserts into farmlands, etc. Deciding to create a state for the Jews in some wasteland that they haven't fixed yet would be displacing a whole country as well.
Try and get citizenship or buy a house in Saudi Arabia without being muslim
Um, no one can
My dad is Israeli you prick.
sorry for your loss Fuhrer
