Karma is a bitch :v:
I'll bet money that stupid fucking dumbass set a garter snake on fire or something equally as harmless. Instant karma for setting a live animal on fire, though. Fucking dick
is she gonna get charged with animal cruelty or what?
animal cruelty laws only apply to warm blooded animals [editline]23rd March 2013[/editline] so no

who cares it's dead
Hasn't this happen before with a man who set a mouse on fire? Nice to see karma working its rounds.
Seems like she slithered into a bit of trouble there.
'Will Smith Rd' what
Did she move in with her uncle and auntie in Bel-Air?
I had the mental image of the gang of old ladies from Monty Python ganging up on a snake and setting it on fire after reading the headline.
sounds like something out of a cartoon
actually, it sounds like something out of facepunch
People need to start informing children better, most of society's problems with snakes (and other misunderstood animals such as spiders) is that they are taught from a young age that they are incredibly dangerous. Every snake that has bitten me only did so after a lot of provocation, with plenty of warning signs beforehand.
Probably not because its "just a snake" and no one likes snaked except snake people.
We need more snake people.
This is why everyone should have a plan for a snake attack. You never know when they could happen and a simple fire alarm might not be enough. Experts today say the best course of action for the average American family is to stop and never let the snake out of your sight. If there is another person in the house this process becomes much easier. If not, seal off the room immediately closing all doors and windows so you have a good idea of the snakes general location. Then you must retrieve your government issued and approved Anti Snake trap and prepare to take the animal in a safe and humane fashion until animal control arrives. Firmly grasp the two shortest sides by the handles. Then flip the device over so the bottom is facing you. The device is now armed. Carefully place the device over the snake and put a heavy book or two on top. Call a trained animal control officer immediately to deal with the now contained threat. Do not move the books until they arrive. If the device is wobbly or easily moved place another book on top.
In the US your best bet is to learn your local venomous snakes, or at least key features such as head or pupil shape. Then if is is a non-venomous species you can just grab it.
is she gonna get charged with animal cruelty or what?
This is Texas. They don't charge for cruelty against women, let alone a snake.
I feel no sympathy for this person.
it was all nanomachines
This is how I think it went down: "Oh, no, a snake! How do I vanquish this beast and end it's terrible siege on my house!? Think, come on think! What do I have... Gasoline, fuck yeah, it's like putting salt on a slug! Gasoline is deadly poisonous to snakes!" The snake slithers around a bit, wondering why it's now covered in gasoline. "Oh shit. Oh, shit, it's not dying at all! Wait! I just remembered! Fire is poisonous to snakes!" A moment later, "Wow, that bitch doused me in gasoline. This day cannot literally get any worSOOAAAHHH OH FUCK I'M ON FIRE! GOTTA HIDE! GOTTA HIDE! GOTTA HIDE!"
There should be lessons on how to properly kill pest.
What the fuck man, they're all still animals >:/
He's not serious.
Should've thought twice before doing it.
She really should be charged with animal cruelty and arson. Not necessarily because killing a wild snake is exceptionally cruel, nor did she light her house on fire intentionally, but because being that stupid unfortunately isn't illegal, but she really should be punished for it.
Its just a fucking overreaction to seeing what might be a deadly animal in your house. Theres no need for animal cruelty charges
He's not serious.
No he is, I did a little research and cold-blooded animals are excluded from animal rights bills, as well as birds, farm animals and the genus of rats used in research. (at least in the US)

Whatever law that is needs to be appealed.

IE. a infestation of mice in your house/in a crop eating up all the grain or what have you.
Now setting a creature on fire out of fear impulse is a bit excessive
This lady is a dumbass
Probably not because its "just a snake" and no one likes snaked except snake people.
We had a black adder around here that I killed before realizing they were sweet. Though, they do kill toads. Generally anything that kills anything that eats insects we consider to be bad. But they're so sweet though, they will refuse to bite you, instead just striking you with their nose.

It'll nose butt or fall just short of a bite, to scare you off as it wouldn't really want to get into a fight with something it cant win against.
