Projecting on a surface is horrible. The projection quality is just awful. And it's always half transparent which means if you have no white surface nearby you're fucked. And what about privacy? You can cover up your phone screen, but not a projection. Until it's holo and not a projection I don't see much success in this.
I would rather have a keyboard, mouse, and monitor, if they want to make something futuristic make holographic keyboards and monitors instead.
toddler approach a flat-screen television and, with Cheetos-encrusted
who feeds a baby cheetos? There's your problem
Looks more like a vanity item than a computer.
Gimmicky as hell, and guaranteed not to take off.
Not a fan of touch screens. They're nice to use, but after a while a static charge builds up on your hand. Nobody mentions this but it's true.
How? All it's doing is beaming light on a surface.
How? All it's doing is beaming light on a surface.
The properties of the surface you're constantly dragging your fingers across will massively impact the experience.
pretty sure the reason we still have keyboards and mice after the introduction of the touchscreen is because they are superior.
No thank you, fuck off. I like keyboards and mice, I hate touch devices already.
I would fuck that shit up with how angrily I type.
I can deal with no feedback (I still use one of those bluetooth projector keyboards for typing up minutes in meetings) Another input device that will go the way of the NIA.
No thank you, give me my keyboard back or I'll shank you with a screwdriver.
I would hate this for a computer, but it could be cool for a future generation of smart phones.
I FUCKING HATE touchscreen things. I don't like the future like this,i hate anything that is round and sleek and organic and shit. (that means Aperture Science in the future=nuk'd,Combine=winwinwin)
I'd rather want a mind controlled system with projections on my retina
It would really only be impractical for big things like playing games or running a computer. I can see it being nice for small things though, like using a ten-digit keypad to dial you phone while it's in your pocket or something (assuming it ever gets down to the size/form of a wristband). But for things that involve a lot of different input, I can't see this as being anything but clunky to use.
