Xenu is going to blow up everything unless you give us cash.
So, how long before the house of the man who reported on this is found burned down with him and his family inside?
Not saying I support Scientology, but don't label Scientologists as psychos because of this. There are (some) perfectly sane Scientologists (on land) who feel that this religion helps them live better lives. (while paying ungodly amounts of money)
What a 15th century mindset on those perfectly sane Scientologists.
Can we please fucking label them as a dangerous cult now? Or at least arrest the leaders? Or maybe get NATO or the UN or someone to investigate / raid the ship to see if anyone else is there against their will?
You do realize how deep Scientology goes right? There are probably people in NATO/UN that follow them and are helping them stay in business.
I wonder how much they pay him to say that.

Well not this but what he normally says.
It's funny you should say that because unlike regular members celeb members are actually paid to do shit and are given luxery for free.
You know, I'd like to fight these people, like, perform my own private investigation and see if I could free any more of these slaves they're keeping.
+1 to the bucket list
Religion

They aren't so much a Religion as they are a fucked up and twisted massive made up lie created to make lots of money (like WBC), unrest, and power.

They don't go deep, they just have a lot of money
They're not like the freemasons or anything, they don't have death rays

But they do have galactic cruisers that look like DC8s except with rocket engines.

Hey guys let's blame religion as a whole to solve our problems :downs:
As crazy as Scientology is, it's downright stupid to assume the woman is telling the truth simply because her testimony is against Scientology, which I might point out is a very, very easy target. For all we know, she left the church on bad terms and made up a story to try and extract some measure of fame or reparations. I dislike the church as much as the rest of you guys, but c'mon, if you're going to assume a story like this is true without evidence just because it fits your preconceptions, you're no better than the Fox News devotees or Scientologists themselves who perform the same confirmation bias.
Every day it seems like more and more religious organizations come to light that deserve to be disbanded and its leaders put to death.
Of course, assuming this is all true.

Excuse me?
Excuse me?
Sorry, I think he was trying to say you're just one of the people that give Atheists/Agnostics/Diests a bad name, because you think its cool to think Religion is inherently evil, and is the root of all problems, and completely ignore that it historically has greatly impacted our society, and today gives a lot of people the hope they need, and choose to remain ignorant. But that's ok, you're excused :downs:
I've always fucking hated the Church of Scientology. They make people pay for "help", abuse some in secret, threaten and take down anyone who talks against them, etc. I've never understood them.

Just looked at some of the FAQs in the Scientology website. Here's my interpretation of it.

Okay then

That... made no sense.
I don't fully understand how one could be held like this for over a decade with the day-to-day freedoms that they had. I think that if I were in this situation after about a month I would be ready to (at least try to) kill any of my captors that I needed to and do whatever it took to escape.

Keep in mind, she was heavily brainwashed.

I suppose that would be a major factor, but my "friends" and "role models" would quickly lose their well-standing after holding me captive for long periods of time. Very interesting nonetheless.

Hiding/escaping was also difficult as the article said.

Being on a giant ship full of people that you had previously considered family (or at least religiously affiliated with), and suddenly acting out in violence, something that a lot of people are not mentally capable of, would probably make the situation harder than you think.
"it's not true but we aren't willing to give any evidence that it isnt. you'll just have to believe us. cmon. you trust us media, right?"
More like "it's not true but we aren't willing to give any evidence that it isn't. you'll just have to believe us, or we'll sue the shit out of you"
Hey, guys. Leave this thread for about 30 seconds, go to google, search the words:
"Scientology operation"
And look at the results that come up.
Each separate result is a real Scientology "operation". They range from literally trying to take over an entire fucking town, to attempting to get someone discrediting them thrown in an asylum.
[editline]peop[/editline]
In fact just look at the autocomplete results.
I don't know, I kind of like boats.
God it's The Missing Link and Belltower already ?
Everytime I hear scientology I think of the Church of Unitology

Honestly, when you look in to some of the workings of the Cult of Scientology, its almost like a super villain group out of a Bond movie or some secret black-book spy agency.
