This is going to get ugly really fast. The faster NATO can take down Gaddafi the better.
Russia, India, Germany, I believe. Not sure the other.
Someone said earlier in thread Brazil was going to abstain too. Not sure if they actually did.
One guy on my friends list is pissed off that this passed.
Any word on the current armed forces close by?
US are around there somewhere, French are apparently close.
Hahaha fuck you Gadafi you're fucked
I love how the British guy is making everyone bored.
One guy on my friends list is pissed off that this passed.
Sounds like a dick.
The Obama administration says they support everything short of "boots on the ground"
Exactly the right strategy. If we are to attack them, we should be doing it with airstrikes only.
Wow, rebels pushed back to their last line of defense, US now sending in fighters, it's like something out of a movie. Thread music:
I can't help but think that this is amazing, Libya is going to lose hardcore
This sucks. (User was permabanned for this post ("Enough. Long ban history / shitposting history in threads about Libya / Creating an gimmick alt" - Swebonny))
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-12770467 Bearing in mind that the resolution has now passed, expect the bombs to start falling tomorrow.
This sucks.
Yep. Aiding civilians sucks ass.
I was just about to make a thread on the vote passing, but I just noticed the topic. Is the OP going to be updated to include a new article if it hasn't? [editline]17th March 2011[/editline]
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-12770467 Bearing in mind that the resolution has now passed, expect the bombs to start falling tomorrow.
The US were talking about "hours". Sit tight I guess. [editline]17th March 2011[/editline] Germany will not contribute anything as they are completely against the idea of intervention. US speaking now.
"BBZZZ BBZZZ THE Permanent representative..."
There's a rumor going around in Libya about a Gaddafi loyalist pilot who was ordered to bomb Benghazi, but instead defected and attacked one of Gaddafi's airstrips. Then after, he flew his plane in to Gaddafi's base kamikaze style. But it's only a rumor.
This sucks.
:frog:
I was just about to make a thread on the vote passing, but I just noticed the topic. Is the OP going to be updated to include a new article if it hasn't?
There is a scarcity of articles on the topic since it just passed but yes. I asked Swebonny to change the title so I'll redo the OP but then I've got to go to bed.
Might as well send in the tanks now and get it the fuck over with, we can't just impose the no fly zone and expect lybia to A) Not test it and B) Not retaliate to our actions. This is likely going to end up being another Iraq / Afganistan except we have not got the hearts and minds of people there. We'l have to wait and see really but it's never as simple as, drop a few bombs and win the war, if only it was.
This sucks.
why are you still not banned

That US chick talks like a dude :v: .
