is anybody else getting freaked the fuck out by Columbia Guy :byodood:
I'm reminded of this.
How did Gman become a delegate for Columbia :v:
Lots of shooting and booms in the background now Celebration fireworks and shooting :D thank cthulhu
Who says the UN never gets anything done? It may be a slow, bureaucratic nightmare but in the end they managed to do the right thing.
This sucks. (User was permabanned for this post ("Enough. Long ban history / shitposting history in threads about Libya / Creating an gimmick alt" - Swebonny))
Thanks Swebonny! Oh and CNN has an article up now: http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/africa/03/17/libya.civil.war/index.html?hpt=T1&iref=BN1
FUCK. Why did you translate him UNmultimedia.org? I want to hear my nation's delegate speak in my native language!
Switch to channel 4.
Thanks Swebonny! Oh and CNN has an article up now: http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/africa/03/17/libya.civil.war/index.html?hpt=T1&iref=BN1
Swebonny is patrolling this thread, whatcha gonna do when he comes for you bad boys bad boys
Finally UN is doing something, the right thing too by the looks of it.
Russia is saying that they don't like the idea but they did not want to prevent the adoption of the resolution. I guess they see that it needs to be done.
I can hear shooting in the backround of the sky news stream. ACE COMBAT 7: LIBERATION OF LIBYA (Woo, aliteration!)
Switch to channel 4.
Thanks, I prefer to hear an actual voice rather than that forcibly (And poorly) translation from Russian to English. Back to channel 1 when they get to the next guy though :smith: Ah shit, back to channel 1 now.
What are you watching?
Al Jazeera English live stream.
Is the Portuguese delegate British?
I can hear shooting in the backround of the sky news stream. ACE COMBAT 7: LIBERATION OF LIBYA (Woo, aliteration!)
It seems to be fireworks.
(How you liking that cell phone Mr. Indiadelegate?) [editline]17th March 2011[/editline] Switch to channel 4 when the Chinese delegate speaks, even if you don't know Chinese (I do :v:) to avoid the weird loud noises in the translator's voice.
Some expert on BBC news saying this may not be a NATO op as Germany and Turkey are against it. It might just be a UK/French led collation with the UN backing.
Animated a bit too
Some expert on BBC news saying this may not be a NATO op as Germany and Turkey are against it. It might just be a UK/French led collation with the UN backing.
Ah, a good old Entente Cordiale.
I love the tongue sticking out.
According to Al Jazeera, Italy is opening up its ports and airbases for UN forces.
Animated a bit too [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467131/Dead.gif[/img_thumb]
Would be better if it was a plane dropping a bomb.
Some expert on BBC news saying this may not be a NATO op as Germany and Turkey are against it. It might just be a UK/French led collation with the UN backing.
Any news about US troops?
According to Al Jazeera, Italy is opening up its ports and airbases for UN forces.
Italy voted for it, no real surprise there.
Shit's going DOWWWWWWWN
I SWEAR every 10 minutes I hear my iPhones alarm clock tone go off in the background on the stream
Any news about US troops?
I haven't heard anything, I am watching AJE at the moment as the BBC are talking to some ex MP about it. Ill find a US TV channel to listen to for a bit.
I dont know if I can sleep. This is even more exciting because there were a couple of days where I really thought it was over for the rebels; that the international community was too late and too divided to do anything. But then the US came around, the vote was scheduled and I've been worrying about it literally all day. History was made tonight - the first time in years that the international community has come together and said no, this is wrong, we won't let this happen to people who we realistically have no responsibility for. It's so inspiring.
The BBC's expert (Lord Owen), is now saying that they should shut up about how it might take 2 days. He is suggesting that a lot of this instilling the fear that Gadaffi could be hit at any moment.
