• Bernie Sanders supporters get a bad reputation online

Anyone who unironically supports Donald Trump has brain damage.
This is irrelevant. If his supporter are so enlightened, as they seemingly present themselves by the general attitude they have toward voters for other candidates, then they should be above this petty display. That they are not only proves the point that neither side is different in any meaningful way, differences on the results with the same mentality on reaching it; two sides of the same coin, it's all old hat.
Politics is a game of dirt I gues
Politics is a game of dirt I guess why did you quote him then?
I quoted him on accident. It was supposed to be a reply to another user but I decided to just forget it lol
If you can't find fault in the person, you then try to find fault in their supporters to dissuade more people from joining them, the only "negatives" regarding Sanders that are ever brought up is that he's white, old, and has some aggressive supporters which you can say about every candidate out there.
I quoted him on accident. It was supposed to be a reply to another user but I decided to just forget it lol
Fair enough
I'm not sure I follow your point? Someone voting based on a candidate's policies that impact their wallet is at least voting based on the candidate, not something only tenuously connected to a candidate. I fully understand people vote because of various reasons that, objectively, don't make much, if any, sense. And that is their right. There's just something about someone knowingly and willingly voting based on something so arbitrarily and so tenuously related to the actual candidate that I personally find, for lack of a better word, disturbing.
by in your wallet I mean what is literally in their wallet at the time of election, short-sighted and reactive with little reasoning, there are seriously fucking studies on how important a strong jawline and angular face is important because people will look at the two pictures and pick one of the two not voting for someone because people you dont like are is more solid than most reasons of most voters and that is the product of the electorate that we have and no one else it could be worse, at least we dont vote in violent islamist authoritarians every chance we get
I have to say, they're a lot more agressive than any other type (from what I've personally seen). They seem to take the stance that they're opinion is the correct one. Not to say that others don't, but they get farily agressive when challenged.
Facepunch in a nutshell.
Facepunch in a nutshell.
More like the whole world in a nutshell, most people are like this especially with politics.
With all this said and done, I hope that this doesn't ruin Sander's chance because of supposedly toxic supporters like most candidates would have. I'd argue Trump supporters are worse because they seem to rally more, but that's another subject.
So, basically, Bernie Sanders is the Undertale of politicians now. Great politician by himself, but his reputation starts to diminish because of his more extremist supporters being very loud and annoying. Not saying every Bernie supporter is shit (just as not everyone who likes Undertale is shit), that would obviously be a stupid and very untrue thing to claim. And it's not like his supporters are creating fanfic-esque porn with him. At least, not yet... That all being said, just as with Undertale, it's better that you judge Bernie by his actual merits, rather than his fervent supporters.
Oooooo, ooo, ooo boy KYM has some weird political shit featuring Monster girls on Bernie, Hilary, Trump, and Samuel Jackson.(?)
You guys are confused. Trump isn't targeting geriatric bible-thumpers, that's for Ted Cruz and Ben Carson. Trump's target audience is anyone dissatisfied with the GOP establishment, he's an outsider with a loud voice. He holds more appeal to younger voters than you would think.
This is actually pretty true. I know lots of younger people who are voting for Trump because he is against "political correctness". It really depresses me even if I do understand where they are coming from.
I'm a Bernie Sanders supporter. Here's why: When he says things, I tend to agree with them. When other candidates say things, I tend to disagree with them. That's it.
Bernie Sanders online supporters are all like substance dependent losers.
Bernie Sanders online supporters are all like substance dependent losers.
Thats a lot of hate for wide group of people.
I mean when stuff like a literal 15 year old calling random people in Iowa is considered awesome publicity it starts to look a little weird
Jesus christ. If some kid called me to tell me to vote for a candidate or whatever I'd hang up the phone. This whole 'Feel the Bern!!!' crap is also god damn annoying. I live in another country and even I am sick of hearing it.
supporting bernie never struck me as a thing "radicals" do.
imagine being annoyed by someone sharing on the internet that they like a reasonable candidate for presidency
supporting bernie never struck me as a thing "radicals" do.
There's nothing wrong with supporting Sanders. What people are sick of is this 'feel the Bern' shit and the constant shitting on Clinton. [editline]31st January 2016[/editline] This is the kind of shit that people are sick of, children spamming shit like:
Feel the Bern Cunton!
then dont read it and stop letting yourself be bothered by inconsequential campaign banter
then dont read it and stop letting yourself be bothered by inconsequential campaign banter
'Don't read it' Yeah I wish I didn't have to, but it's hard when you read anything about American politics, whether it's on Facepunch or even on Facebook, and you have retards spouting that Feel the Bern shit constantly. I am so glad that I don't visit Reddit or read YouTube comments. Spouting that shit isn't showing that the poster 'likes a reasonable candidate for presidency', it's showing that they are immature (especially calling Clinton 'Cunton') and creates doubt over whether they are even old enough to vote.
To be fair, the fact that Clinton is even running, instead of rotting in a jail cell is absurd, the fact that she's the forerunner over Bernie even more so. Speaks volumes about how corrupt our political system really is.
I don't believe the shit I'm reading in this thread... has everyone gone insane??? If you've done even the most cursory investigation into Bernie Sanders, or the other candidates for that matter, then you know he's the ONLY fucking guy worth voting for in this race, and he is our ONE SHOT in who knows how long to actually start fixing this stupid country, Any of the GOP guys would be a disaster, but Trump has been killing the polls from the off, and it's fair to say it's his race to lose. Regardless of what you think of Hillary, she's more of the same. She's pretty much sold herself as being "Obama part II", in an election fiercely opposing the establishment on both sides. Trump likely won't sweep a general election, but it'd still be up in the air with Hillary as nominee. Crazy vs stagnant. Whoever wins, we lose. But Bernie has been crushing polls on all sides. He's polling higher than Trump, by around ten points. You want to win it big, you fucking get Bernie that nomination. He becomes nominee, then he's already won. Be mindful, Bernie has swayed the tide of public opinion while running this race with a hatchet in his back. The establishment has proven they'll do about ANYTHING to kill his campaign. The journalists have minimized him, misrepresented him... the debates have been kept to a minimum, because whenever he has exposure, he gains further support. As the nominee, the media can't hide him anymore. And it'll become clear who is worth supporting. Anyone calling Bernie's ideas radical and unrealistic need to get their head out of their ass and take a look at the rest of the world. Bernie is basing his vision for America on the happiest nations on earth: the nordic nations, because THEY'VE ALREADY FUCKING DONE THIS SHIT. Bernie's vision is a granted reality over there, and his only goal is to emulate that success. If that's insane, then I'm in opposite-land. No, I don't agree with everything he says... just most of it. And that's because Bernie is the only fucking candidate whose policies are designed to do one thing: to serve the will of the American people. What he wants is nothing less than what polls SAY Americans want. He wants to break up the huge banks and root out money in politics, because it's the sole reason that half of the country's problems exist. Politicians (ergo, the government) care not one shit what the American people think, because they're going to listen to their donors first. Make no mistake, the United States is an oligarchy. A Corporatocracy. A Kleptocracy. It's long ceased to be a representative democracy. And the Trans Pacific Partnership is on course to make that (and much more) the state of the Western World. Even Obama is ultimately a puppet of his donors, and he signed off on it. We NEED Bernie. We NEED someone whose concern is America's people, who will fight the corruption and not merely join in, not merely propose half measures. We NEED someone untainted by the pull of money, who got his funding straight from the American people. We're reaching a tipping point, the burst of another bubble... what could be the dawn of a very dark age. Or... just maybe... we CAN beat the rigged system, because our cries will not be ignored. Maybe we CAN weed out the taint, and spur on a new day. Maybe we can not only break down our malefactors, but prevent them from EVER suppressing the needs of the many again. There are a lot of people working through the states to get an Amendment passed, that would guarantee clean elections by law, outlaw private donations. Bernie could make the hole we need to make it happen, and make it so we can finally get things done in this country again.
