The approval of American chemical weapons sales to Egypt as Mubarak’s associates were stocking Clinton family interests with cash is but one example of a dynamic that prevailed though Hillary Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state. During the roughly two years of Arab Spring protests that confronted authoritarian governments with popular uprisings, Clinton’s State Department approved $66 million worth of so-called Category 14 exports -- defined as "toxicological agents, including chemical agents, biological agents and associated equipment" -- to nine Middle Eastern governments that either donated to the Clinton Foundation or whose affiliated groups paid Bill Clinton speaking fees.
IBT
The State Department formally approved these arms sales even as many of the deals enhanced the military power of countries ruled by authoritarian regimes whose human rights abuses had been criticized by the department. Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Qatar all donated to the Clinton Foundation and also gained State Department clearance to buy caches of American-made weapons even as the department singled them out for a range of alleged ills, from corruption to restrictions on civil liberties to violent crackdowns against political opponents.
IBT tl;dr Countries that donated to the Clintons and their Foundation received preferential treatment in arms deals, chemical weapons exports, and US military aid. Companies that also donated to the Foundation received greater State Department-brokered deals and contracts. Many of the countries at the time were authoritarian, dictatorships, terrorist-sponsoring or indifferent, and at odds with US security interests and human rights promotion, during the Arab Spring. Can anyone be surprised by this? At all?
Real surge in Hilary threads.
Is IBT trustworthy? It looks to be but that is a super serious allegation.

Didn't know Hilary had this sort of influence on global politics
I'm not sure if it's treason but it's pretty blatantly corruption. Give my foundation money in exchange for favors.
Pretty despicable if it's true
I'm not sure if it's treason but it's pretty blatantly corruption. Give my foundation money in exchange for favors.
That sounds quite democratic.
I'm not sure if it's treason but it's pretty blatantly corruption. Give my foundation money in exchange for favors.
That's a big part of the purpose of the Clinton foundation, lobbying the Clintons. Its done some shady ass stuff in the past. This kind of info needs to be out there more. This should be enough to convince anyone not to vote for her ever, she's really awful.
uhhh, isn't that close to treason or something? Didn't know Hilary had this sort of influence on global politics
She was the Secretary of State, it's a role that's the Minister of Foreign affairs and has this kind of power. When it comes to the most powerful people in the world, the US Secretary of State can be counted among them because of how central their position is to US foreign policy.
nine Middle Eastern governments that either donated to the Clinton Foundation or whose affiliated groups paid Bill Clinton speaking fees.
How is this even remotely legal? The kicker is that Hillary won't get into any trouble because of this because she's a major female politician.
I'm not sure if it's treason but it's pretty blatantly corruption. Give my foundation money in exchange for favors.
Huh? I thought this was how politics work
How is this even remotely legal? The kicker is that Hillary won't get into any trouble because of this because she's a major female politician.
If it's true, her political career will end. Stop believing that being a woman is a get out of jail free card.
We sold tear gas to other countries, and the Clintons were corrupt, as they've always been. These articles are WAY to clickbaity, even for me. They are true however, it seems. I guess I can research it a bit more.
Honestly, some of these claims seem rather unsubstantiated. Paying high-profile speakers for speaking is not uncommon, and while the number of groups receiving chemical agents that also donated is really sketchy, no mention is made of how many groups donated and got nothing or got chemicals without donating. The table at the end seems hardly conclusive- looks like Algeria and Saudi Arabia got shafted. And then there's the stretch of a tear gas manufacturer being partly owned by a group that donated money to the Clintons once. I'm not saying it definitely isn't true as it wouldn't surprise me one bit, but there are a lot of tenuous claims here I'd like to see verified by another source before breaking out the torch and pitchfork.
This is the same bullshit the Senator Yee pulled. It's a fucking outrage to think these people play the whole, "We are for gun control" and go under the carpet and do these types of things.
Corruption USA-style
Alright, I'm genuinely curious now. During the coal war did the USA ever sell weapons to Russia? Or is this just something that has popup more recently?
Alright, I'm genuinely curious now. During the coal war did the USA ever sell weapons to Russia? Or is this just something that has popup more recently?
Coal War..? You mean in the early 1900's?
This is the same bullshit the Senator Yee pulled. They dont give a shit about what's going here, they care about control. That can be said for just about any politician.
How is this even remotely legal? The kicker is that Hillary won't get into any trouble because of this because she's a major female politician.
How does her being a woman mean anything
Of course they're for gun control. They dont give a shit about what's going here, they care about control. It's a goddamn shame that minorities are getting the brunt of gun control, when the same politicians they vote for openly state they shouldn't have the same rights as the upper class because they might hurt themselves.
This sounds like a plot out of House of Cards.
So were there also just not a spike of US weapon sales PERIOD during this time period? Like, what is the correlation between if donations to the clinton fund inreased/decreased likelyhood of approving an arms sale? So for example: Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Brunei, Ireland, and Jamaica all donated to Hillary but ended up getting less in arms sales.
I'm a little suspicious of this surge of Hilary threads, and I wonder if there's a smear campaign at play here

Haha, this is pretty Hillaryous bwahahahahaha
Look, I support gun rights too, but I'm pretty sure that those who don't aren't doing so because of some conspiracy to control the lower class.
Honestly a lot of the time there's a collaborator mindset when it comes to some regulation. Gun Scares drive up costs and then the costs stay there in the future.
