People who are lead to expand federal power beyond what is legally allowed under fear of something worse are precisely why we have the PATRIOT act and precisely why we're in 3 wars right now.
As an exercise, imagine that there's a new president. Let's call him President Ronald Nixon Bush, he has unlimited power to raise the debt and unlimited power to bomb countries without authorization from the congress, he has unlimited power to spy on every and any citizen, lock away people for indefinite amounts of time and shut down news papers which publish leaks from his government on the grounds that they've committed a crime.
That reasoning is precisely why this country is going to hell.

A lot of people are, most people don't realize what's going on and what will happen if it keeps going on.
Obama is a idiot if he thinks increasing the debt is a sustainable solution. He is going to turn into a oxymoron! Time to save money! So let's give everyone free healthcare! Let build new homes for homeless! Don't have any plans for welfare and fuck employment services!
The higher you climb the harder you fall, and when America finally do all the banks will be royally screwed and people will lose their money or all it's worth. But the majority deserve it.

What a joke. Republicans will never support cutting military spending, and their social policies are abhorable. Aside from that, all they want to do is cut taxes and little else.
