Internet porn to be blocked in public as David Cameron promotes 'good clean Wi-fi'
It makes sense to be honest.
Why would you be using porn in public places, especially where children are likely?
More importantly why are you occupying public bandwidth watching tube porn in public
The idea that children should have no idea what sex is is counterproductive.
Porn isn't exactly a good version of sex 101.
great now i won't be able to go into my local mcdonalds, buy some food and watch some awesome porn while jacking it :c
save it so you can watch it offline
It is as if there are no more concerning problems in the country.
Children get taught about sex in school, they don't need to see some guy spunking on a girl's tits. Your grandparents didn't watch porn and they figured out how to reproduce ok. The idea that porn is educational is just dumb.
And since most people haven't read the source (or even the title) this is for public wifi, wifi in parks, in the street, on the bus, why would anyone be against this?
I'm in 9th grade at the moment and we've never had a proper lesson about sex. We've just learned about the different STDs and that's pretty much it. Oh and the occasional sentence of, "Use a condom".

Well here it's in the nationwide curriculum from year 6 (age 11), you shouldn't be relying on porn to teach kids how to have sex
You do know it's illegal to jack off in public already right?
Then why the fuck do you care/does it matter that he is doing this?
What am I meant to do in a McDonalds disabled bathroom at 12:00 in the morning while crying cause my girlfriend just dumped me now?
Uh, this won't stop porn at all
David Cameron has not seen what my Twitter timeline is like at times.

But I watch porn for the story.
So then why the fuck would people be watching porn in public to begin with? The story?
Some of my friends, while hanging out at a community collage, have looked at hentai to laugh at the comments.

Because the government shouldn't be able to control what is accessible on a fucking WiFi network in the name of 'protecting the children'.
There are already public indecency laws and the government shouldn't be needlessly censoring the internet.
"Hey guys erm, i know we just wasted like 10 million pounds on a funeral, but thats ok 'cause we are stopping public pornography! as you can see we know exactly how to spend what little money our country has!"
Pretty sure the money could be used more constructively, like helping people to survive, but what do I know?
im just remembering how screwed up my school's filter was back in highschool, im 100% certain this will cause more confusion, and grief than intended

The thing is, how are they gonna do it? Only block major, known porn sites, or are they gonna have a filter that's triggered by words like "XXX", "SEX" or "BLACK BUSTY BITCH GETS THE COCK" that don't necessarily have anything to do with actual pornography? Filtering has never worked properly.
They're banning it in PUBLIC wifi hotspots, not your home wifi.
Calm your tits
Which is why I think this is completely reasonable

probably DNS blocking :P
In public, as in internet cafeterias?
Who gives a fuck.
If someone really wants to watch porn in public they will do it regardless of any block
it doesnt really matter that they want to do this, but its funny because its pretty impossible. If someone wants to get porn off public wifi its not like any filter will actually work.
Any censorship is bad.
If I lived in the UK I would be so mad right now. I would bust a nut in public. Exactly one day before the bill came to the floor.
It is as if there are no more concerning problems in the country.
Exactly this is probably just intended as some kind of distraction from more pressing issues like ATOS, who don't give one
Fuck I'm gonna miss whacking off in public so much. Guess I'll just have to use 3G...
Just ask peewee herman
To be fair, what the fuck ARE you supposed to do in a porno theater?
This could go two ways tbh, it depends on if it's going to automatically block 'clean' things for having 'bad' words in them..
