You can't even get a 'normal' pill in my town anymore that's how crazy it is, all the pills on the market are about 260mg mdma.
I've never tried illegal drugs, should I?

be precisely sure that they're illegal

This is a joke right.
260mg mdma for a single pill is fucking overkill for an 'average' strength pill on your market.
You'll very rarely find stronger than that ever since they came out on the drug scene decades ago.
God damn I would kill people for 260mg in a single god damn pill.
Be happy if you get 100-150mg.
260 seems a little excessive but 210mg is an increasingly popular high standard you won't always struggle to find these days

certainly around uh, people i definitely don't associate with.

If he's complaining about 260 i hate to think what he classes as a 'normal' pill
Perhaps alcohol should be prohibited again. Get everybody off of their weak liquors and into some binge drinking of whiskey.
Are you forgetting that cocaine is a thing?
Speaking of:

That graph is reminding me of that old Ren and Stimpy cartoon about Dimension X, because it's fucking surreal.

Well, if it causes the price of Scotch to implode, I'm down.
too bad recreational coke usage has fallen steadily since january 1st 1990
Restrictions cause the creation of blackmarkets, and likewise blackmarkets can't exist without restrictions.
The reality is the easiest thing to understand... Stop restricting, start capitalizing.

And recreational usage of opiates and meth has increased. :v:

because cocaine is just some redneck drug and there are other alternatives that are stronger and cheaper.

Coke's no redneck drug, or not one you'd stereotypically associate with them, and just cause there's "alternatives", meth and such aren't exactly the same health-wise. So if you like coke, you wouldn't just switch to something else, even crack, just for the hell of it if you can afford straight powdered cocaine.

You are mixing up meth and cocaine.
you guys obviously didn't get the joke, stop watching braking bad and go watch some 80s movies instead.
but it is true since the end of the 80s coke usage in america has steadily fallen, mainly due to all the celebrity deaths and probably because pot is way cheaper and user friendly while other cheap stuff like meth has taken over as the drug for those that used to do coke to get wired
coke is a pretty boring drug when it comes down to it and is nothing like its portrayed in movies and you get better highs for a better price
At least some are more pure, half the danger used to be that buying the drug you were getting was cut with something hazardous like bleach.
I'd imagine cocaine usage has fallen namely because of easier access to drugs like meth, opiates, and heroin.
All give that ~feel good~ feeling that people look for, and all are pretty addicting[the latter two are pretty much the same thing].
The drugs we have banned today, however, are scarcely used by the upper class. Most politicians have never used them (except maybe weed), don't know anybody who use them, and may not even know very much about them (see: the government's initial reaction to crack).
no one just talks about it because the repercussions, both legal and credibility wise, would be heavy.

cocaine has become a redneck drug since the 90s. this isn't the 80s anymore where cocaine is considered fashionable or high class. generally mdma or xtc is considered the more upper class novelty drug.
