It's been confirmed that they are doing another Batman reboot.

they wouldn't really be connected I'm guessing
This move annoys me. DC should be focusing a on purely Batman/Superman team up film. I wouldn't mind a JLA film, but a Batman/Superman film could be a great stepping stone. Both Batman and Superman have more than enough 'horsepower' to outperform the Avengers.

Please, not another origin story. That would be as worthless as The Amazing Spiderman (not that it was a bad film). I will note though, a little bit of Tim Burton aesthetics mixed in with Nolan's harsh realism would be nice.

They'll have to make it substantially different from Nolan's work otherwise people will get confused
they also need to do what allot of good batman series did, not start with the origin story
For example, the 90's Batman the Animated Series didn't start out with Bruce's childhood, he was already Batman and had been for years

I think it would be kind of a cool twist if they just made it so JGL was the next Batman and tried to work that into the script. It would probably piss off comic book fans but fuck, everything needs its own originality.
I would just be worried that the Nolan films would be brought down if they didnt make the other movies just right and of equal stature, which would be very tough to do. But can you imagine if they did?

No no fucking no. TKDR ended perfectly and was the best movie batman incarnation. I'm usually all for reboots like The Incredible Hulk and The Amazing Spider Man which turned out to be amazing, but there's no fucking need for Batman to have it goddamn it.

What if they cast Gilbert Gottfried as Batman?

One of the best animated series ever made. I'd like to see them do a film, but I doubt it would live up to it.

Gilbert Gottfried would be better as the Penguin.

I love them both, I just wanted to post the original.
Also, most of the episodes seem to be on Youtube.
