but anyway, theres still some people that write (L)
So long as they keep Skype where it's at now, instead of shoving it full of shit like the current WLM then I'm perfectly fine with that. I would hate to start using a-patch on Skype every update.
But Skype is already full of shit and patching it is rather difficult.
it broke for me a while ago so that's what stopped me using it, plus people seem to grow out of it when they're older.
Same for me, it forced me to update it when I didn't want to and the update would freeze my computer up so I couldn't use it at all and just stopped entirely.
Anyone remember this?
I sent that to someone in school when I was about 11 or so. The next day they almost beat me up and they refused to listen when I told them it was an emoticon... lol
I still use WLM though because I have a few friends that don't use anything else, and I feel that Skype is too clunky to use as a general chat messenger.
Well WLM integration is already in Skype so..woo?
Where?
I only use WLM because my parents are too old to get used to anything else and it is such a fucking piece of garbage now.

Good times...
Also, anyone remember this?
Nostalgia anyone?
fuck yeah i remember that style.
my friend is being dumb saying NO MICROSOFT ISNT GOING TO GET RID OF MESSENGER, ITS GOING TO BE SKYPE
My god they have been integrating messenger protocols into skype and are almost done
This is gonna suck if this is true, I use WLM rather than Skype because it doesn't seem to take as much memory and photo sharing makes it really painless to show a screenshot or a bunch of pictures real quick.
Actually, I haven't used Skype in years. Any of this changed in Skype recently?
I switched to skype this year but I remember all the good times had in MSN
It is kind of sad to see it go but skype is 10x better imo

Hopefully MS brings across some features like custom emoticons and true photo sharing
I remember people would have emoticons assigned to certain letters, so when you're in the middle of typing an innocent sentence you'd get a big cock or something stuck in the middle it somewhere.

does anyone know where i can get those custom text sets?
MSN was the place where I found out the hottest chick at school played RuneScape. The little fact was awkwardest bargaining material I've ever had in my possession.
People actually still use MLM? Damn.
Manly Large Men?
Rest in peace Msn
We dont forget you..
Damn i missed these old times.
Damn you facebook.

the dai fox originated as a korean msn emote set. Seemed to spontaneously die off and vanish from the internet at one point
although I'm pretty indifferent with msnm/live, since a few years now it would freeze up any of my computers/laptop I attempted to run it on, not sure why. Cool to know accounts are apparently skype compatible, can I skype directly to a live messenger user then? I know a guy who refuses to use anything else and we've been unable to talk for a while

Like what?
the old msn emoticons were the best, the ones you find on skype or facebook ect are rubbish in comparison.
Shame to see it go, I remember my friend showing me his then newly released ps3 on it and being the unfortunate victim of a shock site.
Like what?
Not a fan of the Close menu option being effectively a minimize button. Bad enough the X is, but now I have to properly log out before I get the Exit menu option?

I raged so bad when both Skype and Messenger accounts merged...
So much that I pretty much removed everyone from Messenger.

Well yeah there's that, but I meant stuff like the social updates view, photo sharing which keeps resizing the window, video sharing which does the same, smartscreen, etc.
yahoo messenger had (still has?) the best emoticons.
Good. I can't count the times that piece of shit software crashed my computer. I was so, so happy when people switched to that other piece of shit Facebook that I could finally leave MSN behind.

I still love the classic msn emotes

How does a messaging application take down your whole computer?

he probably on XP loool
This kinda sucks. I still use MSN quite a lot and I have a number of friends that really only contact me via MSN.
