Did anyone else that Belgium isn't even in the list of planned territories?
I thought that was interesting.
If you buy a Steam game on disc, you'll still have to activate the key on Steam. There's literally no difference, beyond the fact that you will be able to install it from disc and not from Steam.
You can't buy Steam games used from your local shop.
But yeah, Microsoft should probably lower the price on digital games.
Installing steam and buying games on it doesn't mean my computer will be steam only forever.
I didn't buy my computer to only ever get my apps through steam, and if I got a $100 discount on my computer offered to be only able to purchase apps through steam, hell, even if I got $500 offered, I would tell them to fuck off.
MS are trying to find the guy who leaked everything so apparently its legit

Then I misunderstood what he was saying, or else you are.
The quote " I have over 200 games on steam but I can still buy a disk and install a game that way if I want." heavily implies he could simply choose to not buy a game on Steam and then buy it, but this is untrue for a very large part of the PC gaming library. Sure, you can choose to avoid Steam, but you're gonna avoid a lot of games that way.
Halo 2 HD, fuck.
Now I have to buy an Xbone.

It's probably gonna be as meh as CE HD
It's probably gonna be as meh as CE HD
the CE HD wasn't that bad. Being able to switch between old and new was quite a nice touch.
It's probably gonna be as meh as CE HD
The first one was Meh? It was exactly what was advertised.
I assume Halo 2 HD will only have the campaign and not the multiplayer.
And since Halo 5 will most likely be complete, imitative crap I'm not interested in its beta.
First Titanfall DLC is 45 days from release, then another one 120 days from release.
And tons of sheep will buy it the day it comes out.
Don't ever stop disappointing.

Halo 2 Anniversary will have MP, just like Halo CE Anniversary. Halo 5 is still in development, and i'm not going to assume it's crap just because Halo 4 wasn't exact "Halo" overall. 343 Industries has an opportunity to make a good Halo game this time around. They aren't going to release a new Titanfall 120 after the release, probably just new content or maybe a physical/downloadable expansion?
Halo 2 Anniversary will have MP, just like Halo CE Anniversary.
CEA didn't have its own multiplayer, it had maps for Reach and a Reach playlist that tried and failed to emulate actual Halo CE gameplay.
I'm assuming it will be the campaign with the Halo 5 beta. It would be counter-intuitive for them to have both the H2 multiplayer and the H5 beta at the same time.

Best case scenario its just cosmetics.
Worse case scenario (which I am sure it will be) is a map pack or other bonus content that was so obviously stripped from the game if it's coming out only 45 days after release.
As for Halo 5, I doubt they will do a full-reversal or even go half-way. They didn't even show interest in Legendary settings until after months of complaining.
well i'm pretty sure half the reason they used reach multiplayer is because Halo CE never ever had MP for it (the xbox version anyway, the PC versions netcode basically simulates System Link play over the internetso good luck getting that to be used)

Halo Ce most certainly did have multiplayer. Just not online. And netcode has come very far since the days of Halo PC.
CEA didn't have its own multiplayer, it had maps for Reach and a Reach playlist that tried and failed to emulate actual Halo CE gameplay.
Therefore it did have it's own MP. I'm well aware of what CEA consists of, they didn't try and fail to emulate actual Halo CE gameplay, they made a game variant "inspired by classic Halo CE gameplay."
Best case scenario its just cosmetics.

All because DLC is released 45 days after a games release doesn't mean it was "obviously stripped from the game" Titanfall hasn't gone gold yet, but it certainly will within the next 2 weeks. The content is most likely still in late alpha. The base game isn't even out yet, stop jumping to conclusions.

His point is Halo CE didn't have Online MP on the Xbox, the netcode for Halo CE Online MP was pretty wonky. Which is why they made the MP the way they did and not Halo CE MP with graphical overlay.
I heard Microsoft is threatening to sue the people who leaked this.

It kinda did, using LAN and one of those programs that send the packets over the internet. Of course, the netcode was not tolerable to any lag. At all. :v:
Halo 2 HD?
Funny, me and a friend were jokingly saying that in the future there's going to be a Halo 2 HD, Halo 3 HD, Halo 4 HD, Halo 5 HD
I remember Halo Combat Evolved and Halo 2 pretty clearly. But after that they all just kind of started to mesh together in my head. I think it's time to lay the Halo series to rest. There is nothing special that will happen from Halo ever again, at least I'm willing to bet. It's over and they are just ruining my fond memories from times past.
There's a difference between buying things digitally and ONLY buying things digitally. I have over 200 games on steam but I can still buy a disk and install a game that way if I want.
How many of which can you go to the store, purchase for PC, and not have to install on Steam? I got a boxed copy of Skyrim a while back. Opened it to get the CD key and downloaded the game from Steam. I have never even seen the CD for it.
With the XBone I could buy a game from Microsoft for €60, or buy it pre owned and support my local store for like €30-€40. If they want to push digital downloads they need to start lowering the price on digital sales.
Which is true. If they want to succeed to the transition to digital, they need to lower the prices.
Um, no, it's not a good idea. And the reason why people buy the physical copy, instead of digital download. Is because they want to save their internet data limits (if they have one), or is because their slow internet speed (Dial-up for example). Now I know many people may not have Dial-up anymore, but you get the idea.

While CD's are slowly becoming obsolete to where some computers don't even have a disc tray, and for good reasons, it would be a huge loss if they were to have a console without one. Imagine if consoles didn't have CD trays period. Anyone without internet literally cannot play it.
Steam has the exact same shortcomings.
Valve actually pretty much revolutionized PC gaming on a massive level with digital download. Digital download is no joke, a MASSIVE deal.
And Microsoft is trying to do the same with consoles. There are so many parallels to what Microsoft is doing that Valve did. It's like you guys want consoles to stay behind.
Ever notice how when you're bored with your Steam library, you can just play an installed game without even having to get up to put a CD in? Or if you want to purchase a game, you don't even have to go to the store to purchase it. Or the massive amounts of money you've spent on games from deals that could only be done via digital distribution. Microsoft is literally trying to do the same thing for consoles. But you guys seem so hellbent on consoles being this fixed thing that should never progress with technology.

Consoles are inherently designed to be "cheaper", more accessible PC's. Trying to mold them into PC's just begs the question "why not just get a PC"?
The things consoles have that actually distinguish them from PC's (i.e. splitscreen play, used game trades, etc) are slowly being phased out, which is a shame.
Which is true. If they want to succeed to the transition to digital, they need to lower the prices.
They will, of course, at first. Until used games are no longer a thing. Then the prices will skyrocket just because there's no longer competition.
AKA "Fuck your ability to buy a random game at a store and play it!" price.
well if in the long term digital prices end up being cheaper than their retail counterparts then I'm all arms for a cheaper, optic drive-less Xbox.

Can't wait to see them ruin Halo 2's aesthetic as well! And give it Halo 4's shitty multiplayer!
oh come on anniversary was t that bad and besides they said themselves in a vidoc that they made anniversary use reach MP cause they didn't want to build their own netcode for Halo 1
CEA using Reach's multiplayer didn't bother me because Reach's multiplayer was good. Halo 4's was not and is no doubt going to be used.
As for CEA's aesthetic, I don't remember 343 Guilty Spark being set on Pandora. And they made forerunner architecture look too detailed and cluttered like in Halo 4.

Because there's no "complicated" setup required, which a lot of people (read: tech illiterate) like. You just plug in two cables (audio/visual and power) and play.

I don't think they'll actually lower any prices. Instead, they'll do exactly like Steam does and just have periodic sales. And it's not like games are necessity. If games are too expensive, people will simply not buy it. Four Swords Adventure for the Gamecube sold terribly because to get the full experience cost ~$500.
