No it's different because
Uh
Man child... and uh...

Except being a woman or being black isn't a choice. Being immature is a behavioral choice.
whats with the winners on op.
Would you like to be fired because you like grand theft auto? because it means you
are obviously a sadistic criminal?
probably should have executed him instead
we'll have to wait for roughly 38 000 years before we can get people BLAMmed for xenophilia, mutation and heresy
Honestly I'd probably be a MLP fan if I could stand the singing. Like, it's really cute and all, but the last thing I want to have stuck in my head on the bus ride home is "cutie mark crusaders"
Most bronies leave a bad taste in my mouth because a good majority of them are socially conservative peeps with harsh opinions of people, but this is just silly.
I love how this is acceptable because he's a fan of something y'all don't like
In the thread with the cheating girl, people are saying she shouldn't have been fired and had her life ruined because of a private affair in her life made public. Meanwhile here, people are cheering some guy getting fired for liking a TV show.
You see the problem with this logic?

Yeah, immaturity is the exact same as racism and sexism. Our immature kids are going to be white supremacy activists one day.
I can see where the boss is coming from. I don't agree, but I can see his position.
This is an office job, so probably a formal setting. They would expect a certain air of maturity in the job, and talking about MLP and having it as a desktop background probably does not reek of maturity or professionalism in the workplace.
Although the same could be said of having a cheer team as a background.
So, I don't know.
probably should have executed him instead
Really now?
One of my best friends irl is a brony. And you would never even know it unless you saw his laptop background or be around on the very rare occasions he brings it up.
He also currently is working a full time job so he can help support his mother keep her house. Should he too be fired and possibly loose his house for just liking a show?
How would you like it for one of your bosses came in and fired you for watching a show you enjoyed because your not the target audience?

People in SH being idiotic two-faced hypocrites
*GASP*!!!!!!!
Good riddance. Workplace is no place for immaturity.
Have you ever worked before?
Immaturity is the only thing that makes regular work jobs better.
whats with the winners on op.

I rated it winner because it's so hilariously stupid, it deserves a medal.
probably should have executed him instead
Good job, you made yourself look more immature than the people who you're making fun of (the ones who are watching a show meant for little girls).
Fired for being a brony? That's a very petty reason to fire someone. I mean the fanbase of the show can be very obnoxious and even creepy at times but again to fire someone over being a fan of the show is very petty.
This is dumb. To put this in perspective, imagine if he liked Doctor Who, had a Tardis as his desktop background, complemented his coworker's son on his dalek T-shirt, and then got fired because him liking Doctor Who made people uncomfortable. How would that make any kind of sense?

Ah yes, I forgot FP has a singular mind :v:
You see the problem with this logic?

"immaturity"
yeah totally, being immature in the work place, same as being black, gay, or a woman right?
Fuck wow you really are being ignorant there, that plus, indirectly was not only VERY racist, homophobic, but also sexist.
I mean yeah the dude shouldn't have been fired but bringing something like MLP into work is kind of common sense to be a "No no thing"
but when it comes to maturity purely no apparently being "A black gay woman" is the same thing as "Being immature"
This is fucking stupid.

comparing being apart of a fandom to being black or female.
wowzers
He shouldn't have been fired for liking a children's cartoon, but he probably should have been more professional in his work environment. Yes?
let's play a game FP
spot the sarcasm from the genuine posts
Let's play a game of "count the hypocrites" instead
I don't like MLP as much as the next guy, but still firing him is really excessive.
You see the problem with this logic?

You act as if bronies are some oppressed minority with the way your wording it :v: .
This just in, people can be born as bronies
Seriously that's the most retarded argumenr I've ever heard.
Actually they more or less are. People don't exactly have direct control over their tastes, saying you're in complete control and able to change over your own taste in humor or television is equivalent to saying you're able to change your sexuality or gender identity, which around here (and with mostly sensible people) is regarded as false.
Ah yes, I forgot FP has a singular mind :v:
So do bronies
comparing being apart of a fandom to being black or female.
wowzers
That's essentially what asteroidrules did.
Actually they more or less are. they can't control their tastes but they can control how much they fucking talk about it and what wall papers they use
unlike being you know black
I'd like you to know that right now, you are being very racist, sexist, and homophobic. It's pretty distracting how ignorant it is to make that comparison, essentially belittling the real life issues blacks, women, and gays face down to the same ones some brony faces.
Let's play a game of "count the hypocrites" instead
no, that's SH drinking game.
