I still can't take the name "anti-bronies" seriously
sounds like they're trying to be a bunch of edgy anti-heroes
remember because he's a brony he automatically has a persecution complex and lies to get attention
grow up
It's easier to just assume that because I've never actually read a legit news article about bronys coming under any sort of actual abuse.
The wallpaper is probably the thing that's the furthest from ok that he did.
Getting pulled aside for telling a little girl that her shirt is neat is pretty asinine to be honest though.

at this point they pretty much are
it's on the level of people who still say "burn in hell furfags" unironically
it's just embarrassing

there's probably more to the story that wow they fire him just because he likes a show on the tv
yeah sorry when i have kids i'll be content blocking mlp
I'll be content blocking Facepunch.
But I really don't understand brony hate so much.

I had a dream where I was back at school and I couldn't find my next class, then all my teeth fell out and I was naked.

1st rule of liking MLP is to not "Self identify" as a brony.
I like star trek but avoid being called a faggot because I don't go around "Being a Trekkie"
But I really don't understand brony hate so much.
Persecution complex fueling a persecution complex
there's probably more to the story that wow they fire him just because he likes a show on the tv
Given that it's an iReport, it's almost certain there's more to the story.

someone murdered a brony for his fandom
its kind of like the holocaust, just smaller
A 30 year old man complimenting a 10 year old boy about a sci-fi show != A 30 year old man complimenting a 10 year old girl about a young girl's show.
It's a petty, disputable firing, but it's not like you can pretend that this guy has good workplace decorum for what is likely a conservative corporate environment. You wear your button down and khakis, pretend to give a rat's ass about Pam's 32nd birthday party, and at least glance at the sports section on Mondays do you don't appear to be a social pariah. Let's face it, sports teams and cheerleaders are expected interests for middle aged men, animated pink ponies are not.
Doctor Who is a show primarily aimed at kids but accessible to adults, as is MLP - there's not really much difference. Yeah, people have preconceptions and expectations about it, but some people think video games are just for teenage boys - does that mean anyone who likes video games but isn't a teenage boy shouldn't ever admit to it in the workplace for fear of being fired?
I had a dream where I was back at school and I couldn't find my next class, then all me teeth fell out and I was naked.
Is it disturbing I have had that type of dream before?
To be honest you could say that about gay people and trans people if they had a pride flag or whatever on their desktop.

I'm sorry, but do you realize what you're saying? The way you worded that post implies that you see being gay or trans as a choice.
Persecution complex fueling a persecution complex
So basically, everyone is a shit person that needs to grow the fuck up and accept other people for what they enjoy doing as long as it doesn't harm others?
thank god
mlp is the worst thing conceived by mankind
anyone who watches it should reconsider their life and think where they went so horribly wrong.
someone murdered a brony for his fandom

If someone rounded up a brony/gay/minority and incinerated or gassed them with the intention of completely destroying that minority, but got caught and couldn't continue it would be like the holocaust, but smaller.
Instead this is like anti-gay/black/whatever workplace discrimination, just smaller.
I'm sorry, but do you realize what you're saying? The way you worded that post implies that you see being gay or trans as a choice.
He never implied nor stated that, you are looking for things to nit pick at, and attempt to discredit him for it.
About the wall paper, we dont know if it was just some small thing in the corner of his workplace or some wall sized picture so we dont know how bad or how not bad it was.
I'm hoping the employer actually comes and clears all this up because I have a pretty strong feeling that the person who made this is editing out what he did that actually got him fired.
I still can't take the name "anti-bronies" seriously

I guess it's a good thing they didn't male that term up then?
I'm sorry, but do you realize what you're saying? The way you worded that post implies that you see being gay or trans as a choice.
What makes being a brony a choice? If someone likes something just that goes against their gender role it's not a choice (acting on it is), just because it's not a sexual preference/gender identity doesn't make it a choice.

Hey, let's stop comparing people who are associated with a niche internet fandom to people who are gay or transgendered.
Is it disturbing I have had that type of dream before?
That's literally a mishmash of some of the most common dream scenarios.

probably what happened is he was just creepy to begin with and he worked in a state without good faith labor laws
meaning i can fire you for not tying your shoes properly
Hey, let's stop comparing people who are associated with a niche internet fandom to people who are gay or transgendered.
Nah. How about we start providing a rebuttal to what I've said instead.

I sure do love my state of VA.
Fired for literally anything. Awesome.
