If someone rounded up a brony/gay/minority and incinerated or gassed them with the intention of completely destroying that minority, but got caught and couldn't continue it would be like the holocaust, but smaller. Instead this is like anti-gay/black/whatever workplace discrimination, just smaller.
you should be ashamed of yourself, seriously.
What makes being a brony a choice? If someone likes something just that goes against their gender role it's not a choice (acting on it is), just because it's not a sexual preference/gender identity doesn't make it a choice.
At this point in time, nothing is stopping me from watching the show, talking to friends about it, visiting brony sites, ect save for my own free will. My gender/sexual preference however, would be impossible to change.
you should be ashamed of yourself, seriously.
Please elaborate. I'm providing valid points and you're dismissing them with petty insults and straw man arguments.
He likes something I don't he shouldn't be able to make a living so he can feed his family.
Nah. How about we start providing a rebuttal to what I've said instead.
the difference is gay lifestyle is an actual, serious thing, and a brony lifestyle is taking a show too far and identifying as a brony over a show. YOU CANNOT CHOOSE TO IDENTIFY AS GAY OR STRAIGHT, but you can hide it a little bit, but that changes nothing. Then when you identify as a brony, it's because you like the show, but you don't have to identify as a brony as all just because you like a show. the difference is gays have a huge history of being beaten to death and even even just directly killed and bronies don't the difference is that you can like the show, you aren't forced to have desk top wall papers or be surrounded by "brony culture". Being gay, female or black you have no choice but to accept their 'culture' the difference is ultimately this being picked on for being a brony is most likely because "It's gay" not because of the show itself Just because I like star trek doesn't mean I need to identify as a trekky and I'm not going to give a shit about being picked on for it. I will however, give a shit about being beat up for being gay. I find it disgusting you would actually compare being a brony to being gay. That is hardcore ignorant.
Please elaborate. I'm providing valid points and you're dismissing them with petty insults and straw man arguments.
"oh i don't really like csi anymore ok well i guess i don't have to watch it now" "oh i guess i don't really like boys/girls/trees/etc anymore i guess i can just bang girls/boys/orchids/etc now" liking a show is completely the same as sexual preference
At this point in time, nothing is stopping me from watching the show, talking to friends about it, visiting brony sites, ect save for my own free will. My gender/sexual preference however, would be impossible to change.
"At this point, there's nothing stopping me from having gay sex, admitting to my friends I'm gay, or generally acting on the fact that I'm gay" It's fucking disgusting that half of this thread is supportive of a guy getting fired for liking something (not a choice) and acting on it (is a choice)
As a brony, I am deeply insulted all the Jews and Blacks whine about something that happened decades ago when by persecution is happening today!
Please elaborate. I'm providing valid points and you're dismissing them with petty insults and straw man arguments.
Because you're not worth arguing with. Why waste breath on someone who won't change his mind under any circumstance?
What makes being a brony a choice? If someone likes something just that goes against their gender role it's not a choice (acting on it is), just because it's not a sexual preference/gender identity doesn't make it a choice.
Hahaha what
"oh i don't really like csi anymore ok well i guess i don't have to watch it now" "oh i guess i don't really like boys/girls/trees/etc anymore i guess i can just bang girls/boys/orchids/etc now" liking a show is completely the same as sexual preference
What? No liking a show is completely the same as a sexual preference, it just usually has much less importance and different implications.
Because you're not worth arguing with. Why waste breath on someone who won't change his mind under any circumstance?
This is basically what SH is all about :v:
Because you're not worth arguing with. Why waste breath on someone who won't change his mind under any circumstance?
I'm wondering the same thing.
Please elaborate. I'm providing valid points and you're dismissing them with petty insults and straw man arguments.
You are comparing several hundred years of persecution to a single man being fired from a job because he was too fanatical about a television show. Seriously, go outside and reflect on what you're doing.
This is basically what SH is all about :v:

Become further entrenched in your own views by defending them against people entrenched in their own
So if this is to be SH's new subtitle, than what will we ever put in for Mass Debate?
I'm wondering the same thing.
People have already refuted you several times and you either ignore them or say something even more offensive.
So if this is to be SH's new subtitle, than what will we ever put in for Mass Debate?
Think of Mass Debates as a formal boxing match while SH is a street fight.
You are comparing several hundred years of persecution to a single man being fired from a job because he was too fanatical about a television show. Seriously, go outside and reflect on what you're doing.
I'm not comparing their scale, I'm only comparing what they are. I've said this multiple times.
What? No liking a show is completely the same as a sexual preference, it just usually has much less importance and different implications.
Can someone compile this doods post into an image and make it his title? This is just ridiculous.
Think of Mass Debates as a formal boxing match while SH is a street fight.
There's no ratings in Mass Debate, it's hard to know if you're winning an argument without a lot of check marks boosting up your opinion. That's why I like SH more.
I forgot about my pony to nazi script Makes this story really different.
The people in my unit know I am a brony, and I named the helicopter I am assigned to maintain after a character from the show that has a name that passes as a normal one for a helicopter. They don't throw a big stink about it because as long as you do your job, you are good. This guy's boss and coworkers lack professionalism.
I'm wondering the same thing.
I find it very hard to talk to you non-aggressively.
Okay, the title amused me, the thread overall is hilarious, but the first post just made my evening. I give this thread 4.5 fedoras out of 5. Funniest is how much grieving about how bad SH is when this is exactly the horseing around I keep returning for. PS. I can sympathize with the guy just because, even tho I don't think I have a need to show any particular facet of my socially unacceptable personality with IRL public, the fact I cannot let them know always tortures me and makes me very scared of the idea of 9/5 under-boss job where I could possibly have to face the environment who I couldn't be open to. It's hilarious nonetheless, a sort of comedic tragedy of this existence, I guess.
Doctor Who is a show primarily aimed at kids but accessible to adults, as is MLP - there's not really much difference. Yeah, people have preconceptions and expectations about it, but some people think video games are just for teenage boys - does that mean anyone who likes video games but isn't a teenage boy shouldn't ever admit to it in the workplace for fear of being fired?
Target audience real/audience disparity of MLP is nontrivial. From the other side of the looking glass (as a parent and/or not some internet-savvy person and/or Fox News watcher) a show that attracts young girls and men about the average age and description of stereotypical sex offenders is kind of a thing. ***I am not implying that MLP fans are sex offenders, but dealing in visual stereotypes alone there can occasionally be parallels*** Also video games are now completely mainstream, as anyone that doesn't have a completely grey head of hair has played them. It's a mutli-billion dollar industry that has target demographics up and down the board. I don't rattle off to my boss how I spend hundreds of dollars on my gaming rig and games though, or that at the end of the day, I go home and shoot at virtual zombies.
Getting fired for being a "brony" sucks. As for getting mocked by co workers, what did he think would happen when he mentions he watches a childrens show that was/ is mainly aimed at females? My friend is a brony, much younger than this guy and has the common sense to know how ignorant people are about this sort of thing so he brought the mocking upon himself in that regard.
People have already refuted you several times and you either ignore them or say something even more offensive.
No, everyone in this thread has said something to the order of : "No seriously dude really, you can't compare these two things"
I forgot about my pony to nazi script Makes this story really different.
Woah, dude text size.
Well, I laughed. But then I realised a guy is now out of a job just because he watches a TV show his boss doesn't like and now I feel bad for him.
I'm not comparing their scale, I'm only comparing what they are. I've said this multiple times.
They aren't comparable, not in the fucking slightest. One is a sexuality that you don't have control over, and the other is a preference in entertainment that will most likely change over time. They are absolutely incomparable, and I'll say this for the third or fourth time, you should be ashamed of yourself for even comparing them.
Can someone compile this doods post into an image and make it his title? This is just ridiculous.
Yeah that'll show him.
