If you feel more comfortable in the other gender's bathroom you should use it - all I care is if the bathroom I use doesn't have a queue, sometimes being a male is a good thing especially in shopping centres as there's often a high concentration of females occupying so you can get in/out faster. So go to female bathroom if you must but be warned, if you really need to go you should ignore gender.
