I'm gay and I wouldn't feel comfortable going in a ladies restroom because that's just not how things work. There is comfort in the agreed-upon silence of the mens restroom. Also I've seen the horror of ladies restrooms when it comes to menstrual season.

I made and ignorant presumptive statement about the person in the OP and I have admitted that. They were born a male and identified as a female, and were attracted to females. They used the mens restroom. I believe that transgenders should have the right to choose if they want to use the bathroom that is for the gender with which they identify.
